50% off almost everything + some "vote which game gets a bigger discount tomorrow" promo like in the summer would be nice.
Ah..well - I'm not picky. Any discount GOG offers will do. Games that are on my wishlist are underpriced anyway.
50% is a pretty significant discount, especially since most of the games on the site are between 6 and 15 bucks. So yeah, I'd guess 50% off the entire catalog. I could also see them maybe doing a Steam-like thing and featuring different games every day for a week or something with higher discounts.

maycett: 50% isn't much of a discount, period.

WBGhiro: Kids these days... I remember the days where we were grateful and rejoyced when it snowed 10% less, while going uphill in summer. And getting another beating for free for every ten we got. Those days were kind of shit, but it was an honest kind of shit. not the artificial kind of shit you see these days.
what he meant is "50 % is not basically for free" :D

Technically free is the only unbeatable price point, so maybe they're announcing games going free at their conference thingy? >.>

I would say, unbeatable is, when they pay us to play the games!

Does that count as a price point?

Why not?

200% off, instead of paying $5.99 , you get $5.99 :)

No, that's not what I meant. And I'm not a "he".

unbeatable you say... you can always get paid by GOG for showing interest for their wares! :D

By that logic, it still wouldn't be unbeatable since there could always be someone paying more.

Of course, there are some games I can think of where people deserve to be paid to sit through them... Superman 64, Action 52, the Elder Scrolls series, Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing, and all the CD-i games which anyone has actually heard of immediately come to mind.

just a joke, relax, Australian lady! :o)
Gosh! I honestly can't wait for the christmas sales. It's where I do my main game buying then. I'm of the opinion that GoG doesn't have to give so many discounts throughout the year. Just one 50% off discount to celebrate the holiday season through the month of December will be good enough.

Or at least, it's good for me. Because, when I purchase, I bulk buy a stack of games I want in one shot.
