Narushima: As for the charities, I asked Child's Play and the Electronic Frontier Foundation, and both gave me the same answer, basically they had been contacted by the guy and were ready to renew the experience from the Humble Indie Bundle, but they did not give any formal approval.

To be fair, though, I didn't know a charity needed to give approval for you to give them money.
but to promote your business with their logo and reputation. sounds logical?

Like fraudsecurity said. You need their approval.
I guess I just don't see that. He's just telling people that part of the money they pay will be donated to certain charities. I wouldn't even consider it necessary to inform the charities about the project before making the donations, though I can see how it would be advantageous from a marketing POV.
Besides, if they gave him a positive initial reply (which it sounds like), then I can totally understand why he'd just go ahead with it.

I would expect that there are probably legal requirements for business tie-ups with charities due to taxation reasons and also due to the display of the charities logos. Of course, specifics will depend on the countries involved.
i was wondering, why he can use paypal, because his account got closed longer time ago, due to many complaints of customers. but now it´s clear, he runs all this on the name of his wife, he married yesterday. i can´t believe, this guy is pulling his family in all this shit, he is in :(

The public posts with links to the games from this bundle on IndieGames.com is horrifying.
I don't care who you are, you don't fight someone back by distributing someone elses content. Especially when they were nice enough to make their game DRM free. The developers have nothing to do with Jochen's inability to conduct business, and I feel bad for them for being tied up with the whole thing.
Edit: Child's Play link on the website has been removed.
Another thing I find sad is that some of the developers are trying to get out of the bundle but Jochen refuses and has threatened to sue them. He refuses to remove their games from the (contractless) deal.

That Jochen dude has made one crucial mistake - he forgot that you do NOT mess with the internet.
I've skimmed through the comments on IndieGames.com and it is already a regular witch hunt. The next thing will be people finding out his personal information, photos and/or even stuff connected with his health (the same thing happened with the creator of Limbo of the Lost - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limbo_of_the_Lost )
I also get a feeling that this whole drama is only beginning and we will see a lot more of it, especially seeing how the dude stays clueless and tries to defend himself while attacking others (threats of law suits) with his broken English.
My, my. We'll get ourselves another of those virtual stakes. Steve Bovis, you shall not burn alone anymore!
Heh... Limbo of the Lost... good times, good times.

hehe
Hope to get no flames because of my english :)
I mean...we are _one_ community? Or does it depend on the language?
About the bundle:
He removed "Bob came in pieces" and changed the "charity" .orgs to:
"Deutsche Krebshilfe/German Childrens Cancer Foundation" - "Electronic Frontier Foundation" - "WWF"

I love how he openly blames the GOG forums for all this when everything we know here (and the people who posted it) actually came from other forums first.

plus he should pay for GOG ( front page advertising )
"Deutsche Krebshilfe/German Childrens Cancer Foundation
According to comments over on Indiegames, that charity wasn't even asked about it. I quote:
I just received an email back from the German Children's Cancer Foundation. They are not in on the bundle at all:
"We were rather astonished to see our logo on this website. We weren't informed about that."
Also it appears none of the money is actually going anywhere over than a bank account in the control of the site operator. It certainly isn't going directly to the charities.
