Would also look at The Ball and Xotic if you want first person type stuff, Xotic is a no brains required shooter and The Ball is a first person, adventure puzzle type game.

Well,I don't know what indie games did you played,but I strongly recommend you to play Braid,Machinarium,Zeno Clash,Blocks That Matter and The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom. :)
