Doesn't the title say Giveaway? Yes! Here it is:

In order to help spread the word about this great event, I am giving away one GOG code for <span class="bold">Retro City Rampage</span>.

Here are the details:

1. Post in this thread and say you're in. This will enter you 1x into the random draw.

That might be all you have time, nerves or zebra oil for. And that's totally fine, I get it. Glad to have you participating!

2. If you want to triple your chances though (or more!), complete the following stint:

1980fy an image by adding big hair. Huh?! OK, here's what I have in mind: show how bad you are at Photoshop (or Gimp etc.) and slap an exaggerated 80s hairdo onto an image of your choice for comedic (or maybe tragic?) effect. Your piece doesn't need to be a clean job. I mean look at the example attached to this post, I shamelessly used the lasso and eraser tools for this. Come to think of it, that is mostly tragic, but whatever.

Unsure about the hair-vibe your masterpiece should convey? Then watch this Vixen live performance. It's quite... something.

Those who accomplish the above and attach their image(s) to a post here, will be rewarded by being 3x entered into the draw. On top of this, when the giveaway ends, I will find the image that feels the most hilarious, bizarre or otherwise glorious to me (totally subjective, right). That one artist will receive two additional entries in his name (5x entered in total then).

You are welcome to provide as many images as you like. Maybe make a new post each time, rather than editing earlier ones please; makes it easier for me to spot them I think.

3. Also, you are welcome to enter for someone else. Assisting entries will add an increase in chances by 1x max total for a person though, even if several people say they wanna be in for her/him.

4. The giveaway will run at least until Awesome Games Done Quick 2014 is over (January 11th). Sometime after I will announce the end, judge the images, add everything up and proceed to random.org. The drawn winner will then receive the code via pm.

I hope you'll have fun with this giveaway. Me, I'm looking forward to seeing your entries and watching the speed runs at this year's Awesome Games Done Quick.

Good luck everyone and Happy New Year!

Good decision indeed! Don't forget you can come back and knit an image together until AGDQ is over. In case you feel like increasing the odds in your favor. :)

Thanks, noted and Happy New Year to you too! I'm not part of the marathon event, just thought I could combine a bit promo work for them with a giveaway, as their event deserves the support I feel.

I have a great view of the ocean, can't really call it dry ground though ;) I've only watched past runs on their YouTube channel, so looking forward to the live stream too. The commentary they give is often interesting/funny on top.

I´m in.

The only one that needed a little makeover was Warren Spector. Tom Hall and John Romero already had great 80ies hair.

And I thought YOU'd be the first to have that machine up for a GA :) There is still some time left in your 12 days of Xmas giveaway, just saying ;) Keane, off to the arcades - he seems unsure about the gender change though, if I read his face right o.O

Haha, oh god! And he does look totally confident rocking his tower of blonde. I feel we are close to revealing the real reason why Spector put Deus Ex on the table, while Romero's Daikatana fell flat :D
I don't have access to a proper computer until after the giveaway, so please put my entry towards lugum if he can take more points!

Thanks for the giveaway and the link, Chevkoch +1

If i won the jackpot of 15 million or just anything big i might have but i didnt so alas. Only games in my giveaway ;).
It was just a week after the operation for Jackie Keane, so yeah he wasn't really used to it yet.
By the way: Thanks for the link. I watched some of their videos and those guys are really great! I especially enjoy the Super Mario World and Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Speed Runs as I loved to play those game on the SNES.
