RayRay13000: I love me some good speedruns (as well as some unintentional screw ups and mishaps), I'm in for Air-Trigger.

Not in. I am just stopping by to say thank you for the giveaway, chevkoch! +1

I remember seeing a run on Speed Demos Archive for Fallout that was about 10 minutes long. Thank you for reminding me of the site.

I've only watched the taped sessions on YouTube until now, of past events. Discovered them quite recently, so I am excited for the live stream to begin. Seems like a wonderful community effort they got going.
Just a quick reminder that AGDQ 2014 is well underway, there will be little sleep for the marathon gamers until the 11th now. I'm excited the stream is finally live.

Donations are at around $35.000 right now. Let's hope they'll get a big sum for the Prevent Cancer Foundation, since they are providing everyone with days of great entertainment for free.

Plus: Anyone can still enter for the giveaway here until the event is over :)
Watching the AGDQ stream last night, I got introduced to a really fun game by the looks of it: Cave Story, which is a free download! Had to share this find :)

The collected donations are a bit beyond $92.000 now, not bad after just one day. Saw a fantastic speed run of Actraiser 2 this afternoon, I almost had forgotten how awesome this game looks.
Thanks for your generosity, chevkoch!

Please, count me in for Pemptus, if I may.

Thespian*: Thanks for your generosity, chevkoch!

Please, count me in for lugum, if I may.
lugum already has an assist entry by Dzsono, and to keep it worthwhile for those who increase their chances by attaching a big hair image, I can't allow more than one assist. But if you want to be in for someone else, just tell me, I'll count that then :)

The list of entries is in the OP, where you can also see who hasn't got an assist yet.

Fair enough. :)

I've edited my entry on behalf of Pemptus, who has no assist. ;)

Thanks, increased Pemptus' chances accordingly :)

About 1 1/2 days left to watch live speedrunning goodness via the AGDQ 2014 stream! Still time to enter the giveaway here too :)

I've had a blast so far, so many great runs and fun moments. Just saw the Punchout titles played masterfully blindfolded (!) and owned hard. Don't miss the rest of the event! They've already exceeded their initial donation goal of $500.000 by $47.000. A fantastic outcome to benefit the Prevent Cancer Foundation.
ONE.
MILLION.
DOLLARS.

Absolutely awesome event!

Now that AGDQ 2014 is over, the gods of random number generation have chosen a winner for this giveaway:

DProject

Congrats! A pm with your code will be on its way.

From the fun big-hair image contributions, I had a tough time picking the one I liked the most. In the end, Domy85's Spector-do took the extra 2 entries.

An incredible $1,006,990 for the Prevent Cancer Foundation were collected during the marathon (and donations seem still to be trickling in). Beyond amazing what a group of dedicated gamers and the community can accomplish!

Me, I loved every minute I got to watch the live speed runs. Can't wait until Summer Games Done Quick will hopefully come around later this year. I'll leave you with a clip from the now finished event, where someone, defying a fire alarm that had cleared the building, ran back and heroically saved the cat plushie.

Cheers!

Absolutely awesome event!
My mind was blown too. I think they upped their goal three times to cope with that donation wave coming in. Great people, great cause, fantastic event.
