It is a cold night. Outside the rain falls as if a platoon of parachuting babies are flying without diapers. I’m alone in my office, the secretary left me after two weeks without payment, my rent is due.

As I pour another dose of whisky like one of those guys who pours drinks in tall glasses at the bar I hear the door opening. A gorgeous figure enters the room, eyes like a starry sky and a smoking hot body. With a the voice of a angel who had lots of singing lessons (and some phonoaudiologist sessions) she tells me her problem.

She needs me to “play” a thing she calls “computer game series”. It was her husband’s last wish that she played this game, part of a strange clause on his will. Anyway, being just a beautiful and mysterious prohibition era girl she needs the help of a private investigator who, like a cycling rhino, is REALLY good with metaphors.

Being a hard-boiled detective from the 30’s this “computer game” story really intrigues me. First things first, I gotta discover what a computer is (what will be really hard because they didn’t invent Wikipedia yet). After that I need to get this “Tex Murphy” games…

TO BE CONTINUED…?

Well, I never played any of the Tex Murphy games, but the things I read about them made me very intrigued (yeah, I like that word). I’m always eager to try some new old games and I need some FMV games to clear myself of any prejudice I had about them.

Oh yeah! I need the games to finish this story too! Thanks for the giveaway!

You should give these to me because of a very high chance I may not get it from the other giveaway. I mean, you DO want to rectify that situation, don't you? :-D

Thanks for the giveaway.
Bumping for the bro that is Tex!
Not as many people in on this as I thought there might be makes me a lil sad... though come Sunday I will make one person happy!

ENTER NOW! :P
I need to have them simply because I want to beat each one of them before the kickstarter one comes out
I need the GOG Tex Murphy pack because I have not played any of the games despite being a life long adventure gamer. I must atone for my sins!

Hmmm, I'll bite. I have a thing for the cyberpunk-ish setting, after emulating SNATCHER for the Sega CD recently, so I'd like to check them out.

sebarnolds: The most amusing memories related to a PI are related to one game: Discworld Noir. If you enjoy a great adventure game, like funny stories and PIs, do yourself a favor and get it NOW ! (but I don't know where it can be found).
Thanks for the recommendation. I think I have the game somewhere, but don't remember playing it. So probably started and didn't get far. On the other hand, I just started playing The Pandora Directive yesterday (basically just watched the opening video; I still need to get used to movement) and I'm part way through The Beast Within (only Chapter 1), so it will take a looooong time until I get to anything else (unless I end up not liking the Tex game).

Bigs, thanks for your generosity. I think I'll make do with The Pandora Directive, though, plus perhaps the new Tex game when it comes out. Even though I didn't get much into The Pandora Directive, and the interface is clunky, the concept looks pretty good.
Although I have played most of the classic adventures from LucasArts and Sierra, I have never had a chance to get my hands on the Tex Murphy series. Shame on me.

I can only say I'm a fan of many writers of crime fiction as Raymond Chandler, Dashiell Hammett, Ed McBain, Walter Mosley, Patricia Highsmith, Henning Mankell, etc. I hope that qualifies me.

In addition, some publicity for your initiative:

And +1 for the giveaway, Bigs!
I have all but 1&2 so I won't enter, but awesome to see the Tex Love being spread around!
I already have some of these so I won't enter either. Thanks for the giveaway Bigs. I'd like to point out (for those that don't know) that if someone owns any of the games in the code then when they redeem the code they would get the games they don't own AND someone else could redeem the other games using the same code.
I love the Tex Murphy games. I use to play under a killing moon for hours and hours. You put the biggest smile on my face it I got these game…..and piss my wife off but that noranl.
I remember playing Under a Killing moon for a very short time when I was about 8 years old, It was my older brothers game and he didn't like to share his pc games when we were younger. What I did play impressed me and I'm a big adventure game fan now.

I'd love another crack at them since your willing to be so generous.
because I have NONE, and would REALLY like to try the series, and see what this is all about.. ..that way maybe i'll have some stories to tell too !!

thanks and +1 for your generosity!
I think having none and never playing any of those is as good a reason as any to apply.
