Well, I experienced something strange on these forums and anyone can experience it too: people are mostly very nice !!! There are a lot of topics about giveaways and those are not only for cheap Steam keys from bundles. That's something I don't see anywhere else. Trading can be done on a trust basis and no problem ever happened :-)

I'll put two games:
A New Beginning
because I love adventure games (and play those a lot) and besides the graphics seems very good (I am not too fond on the current trend to use "retro" / "16bits" graphics everywhere) and Mass Effect 3 because I own the others and intend to finish the trilogy.

Here's a good reason for you to make me win one of those games: if you don't, I'll definitely buy them :-)

Anyway, thanks for the giveaway !

[Edit] Reading through the other posts, I realize I am not very original :-) Well it seems all of us realize the GOG.com forums are a good place to be.

My vote goes to Mass Effect 3.
Why?
I loved the first one.
The second is languishing in my backlog.
If I finally get hold of three, I'm going to have to play through the trilogy back to back....

Thanks for the chacne.

2 things have jumped out at me here.

You can talk about pretty much anything without being condemned for being off-topic.

The way so many people put so much time and their own money into buying games specifically to give them away to people who are effectively complete strangers.
Special mention to KneeTheCap.
Not long after I arrived on the forums, Knee gave me a game completely out of nowhere.
I was so blown away that I just had to return the favour.
Over the next few days we seemed to be playing 'gifting tennis'.
Every time I logged on, I found another gift from him. It was a bit like having a benevolent stalker!

And of course, someone has to mention Ian!!

Count me in! Thanks and +1 for your generosity, K_1269!

I'd like to enter for Neverwinter Nights: Diamond Edition (a ton of campaign mods adds to the replayability of this already awesome edition) or Police Quest 1+2+3+4 (I remember playing the first installment at the time and I really liked the topic, perhaps was the first time a point'n'click adventure took this approach).

About the question, I feel very fond of a certain moment when I participated in a giveaway looking to re-gift the prize to another forum member. When I asked the OP if that was possible, he asked more details about the receiver. I wrote a PM telling him the background, and he immediately sent me a extra key of the game for said forum member. It was a really great gesture on his part and I'm very grateful to him for his extraordinary kindness and generosity. :)

K_1269:
Thanks and +1, nice giveaway! I'm interested in one of the following (listed in order of preference) --
Mass Effect
Mass Effect 3

As for why I'm interested in those two particular games, let's just say that being introduced to the Mass Effect universe by way of ME2 made me fall in love with the game, the story, the universe, all of it. However, I'd always avoided shooters, as I just plain suck at them, but ME2 made me finally say, "screw it, I'll quit being a sissy" and to finally brave playing a shooter. I haven't finished it, but I've often wondered if I should have started with the first game, or if I should just finish 2 and then move on to the final game.

As for a pleasant experience I've had since joining this community, I've had two encounters already where a member of the community has just gifted me a game out of nowhere, for no reason but to be kind and welcoming to a stranger. The good nature of this community as a whole is enough to be really glad I stumbled upon this site.

I'd love to enter for the Police Quest games. Growing up I kept hearing people ranting and raving about how good the ...-Quest games were, yet to this day I have still never gotten around to trying any besides Space Quest 1!

As for good/surprising/different... I found a site over two years ago that was generous, helpful, friendly and generally pleasant to be around. Two years later... it is exactly the same, just more people. I didn't think this possible on the Internet!

I would love to enter for either Mass Effect 3 or Grey Matter.

One of the really nice things I have experienced on the forums is an overall sense of community. Let me explain. When I wanted to host a give away for some extra Interplay games I had, I had a question about breaking up a gift code. I asked the community and it was quickly answered in a nice and helpful way. During the give away, I had a number of nice responses and great feedback, and finally, the individual that one, re-gifted a number of the games they already had, and let me know. An overall pleasant experience.

I would like Mass Effect 3 as I have played 1 + 2, and would like to complete the series (also see what all the fuss was about the ending). If that is taken, I would love Gray Matter because I love Jane Jensen's writing style and games.

I'd love the Zeus/Posidon package if for no other reason is it would teach me to spell Posidon! No, seriously, the player reviews say it is a great city builder with a little more hands on from the game to help less than brilliant people like myself learn to appreciate good city sims.

As for nice things about this forum, in all the years of my mental and physical ups and downs I have become convinced that out of all the mess that makes people do what they do there are two imperative traits, that when present, make any situation, however uncomfortable, actually enjoyable. On top of that these traits make any other person, however different from you, a close and reliable compagnion. These traits are humor and humility...and the GoG forum is LOADED with BOTH. I am extremely sarcastic, I take very little seriously, I love to joke about pretty much anything, and in here I can actually let all of that flow. I love it in here because the overall freedom to let loose without worry of offending or upsetting anyone in turn makes the whole environment that much more open, fun, and enjoyable. I may get criticizied for my opinion, but I wont get ostracized for it, and I wont be crucified for it, and I will be welcome to continue to express my opinion, however disagreable, without fear of being chucked out of the forum. Other forums, not so much.

If you enjoyed my above rant you can read it and more in my new book "Eat it Dr. Phil!" by tinyE, available by Random House this April. Don't miss it!
And joining again :)

I am in for
Mass Effect 3
. I have played Part 1 + 2 and really loved that game, this is my main reason, why I also love to play this one too :)

There is so many good that happened to me on this Forum. Came in contact with really nice people, that I can also talk in private.

Thanks,I'm in for
Police Quest 1+2+3+4 (GOG)

and

Grey Matter (Gamersgate)

Well, one thing of the forum that let me surprised is when I first discovered the GOG gifting thread.
I thought it was a joke, but I asked for Gabriel Knight, thinking that nobody will give game for free without receive anything in exchange.
After a few minutes, someone giftted me the game.
And by that time, I discover that GOG forum is maybe the best community of the Internet, because people are nice people.
And when I can, I gift games here because it's a pleasure give something to other people that deserve it :)
I would love to win
Mass Effect 2 (Gamersgate) or Mass Effect 3 (Gamersgate) or Mass Effect 1 (Gamersgate)

Why do I love this forum? Because everyone here is friendly and helpful. The person that was the most friendly to me was
Kylie

. I talk with her now almost everyday. I discovered this website before the launch of Witcher 2. I buyed the game and loved every second of it. I was not really "into" this community until September last year. At that time I discovered the community and I don't regret the fact that I became a part (a small part) of it. :)
Why would I want to win
ME 2 or ME 3

? Because I already have ME 1 (a friend gifted it to me 2 years ago) and I love it.
I actually played ME 2 but the pirated version. I never played ME 3 because I always wanted to buy it but I always ran out of money before doing it. I would like to win any of those 2 but I think that I would prefer ME 3 if it is possible. Thanks for the giveaway.
UPDATE: I would also like to add
ME 1

to my list. As I told you I already have it but I talked with a friend and he would like it so if I win ME 1 I would gift that one to my friend. Thanks.
So my updated list:

ME 1, ME 2, ME 3.

BTW: When you will choose the winner?
Thanks for the giveaway! I'd like to go in for Mass Effect 3. Played the first 2 and would like to finish the trilogy. Could have gotten it at release, but I hesitated due to the controversy. Other games and unforseen expenses happened in between and I can't afford it unless someone does some kind of "error" sale.

As far as the forums, it's nice that a lot of great folks are still hanging around after so long and more new ones too. It's helped to make an atmosphere of civility, generosity, and trust despite some of the negativity that transpires.

robb5: BTW: When you will choose the winner?
I don't know, will depend on how busy I am. Usually I don't let my giveaways run for more than a day or two so my best guess is something along those lines.
