And yes Beyond Good & Evil is awesome ... especially as it came out of nowhere, really, when it was published - not receiving much promotion or hype.
I've never spend much time with the Gothics - I only played a bit of the demo of the first part, which I liked, but then went through a "no games" phase. Will be looking forward to give part II a spin tomorrow :). Thanks!

For future reference, there are two genres that don't go well with me (I have tried them, so I know what I'm talking about).
Adventure games
I just can't really get on with them w/o a walkthrough; I don't know why, but I seem to miss some skill required to them (and it's NOT riddle solving).
Racing games (and, for that matter, any simulation...)
I SUCK at them. Even on easy levels, I tend to crash in the first curve, so it's not much enjoyment for me.
(Yes, there are a number of racing games on my list, but only my brother plays them. He's so much better at this than me ;-)).

those two should have been bought a considerable while before many of the games on your list. consider yourself reprimanded ;)
on a more serious note, please recheck my games list, as i updated it with about six games since your post

OK, I have two games in mind for you (both are sequels to games you already have): Fallout 2 or Stronghold Crusader. Choose any of them (don't worry about price differences), or let me know if you have any objections to them.
