Gish is both good and old. The fact that it is also an indie game isn't really important, there's no reason for GoG to only concentrate on games that were distributed in the shops.
Edit: Though GIsh was actually sold in shops in some parts of the world.

in my opinion, poor behavior in children is a result of the parent.
yes, certainly there are a number of outside forces that will influence a child, whether they be 2yrs old or 17yrs old, however as a parent it's your duty to make sure your kid understands.
think of it this way;
your family is a caravan, you're the leader of it and you're traveling through dangerous territory. it is your responsibility to make sure the people in your caravan are safe, so you have to instruct them on how to behave in this new land or else they'll die.
it's the same as educating your children on drugs, fiction vs reality, sex, etc. You also have to judge what level of each is ok for your children.
Santa Claus is fiction, yet many parents choose to let their kids believe the fiction is real, when these kids do outrageous stuff that is inspired in a fictional reality, it had to come from somewhere.
Now I'm not blaming Santa Claus for inspiring video game related deaths, I'm blaming the parents who allowed such illusions to exist.
I myself am a father, and while I will tell my kids about Santa Claus, I want them to understand that he is a character and not a real person, and that no one person could actually fly around the world in one night and deliver presents to everyone.
Many other parents don't like to say "I'm to blame" because it makes them feel like they've failed their family, and their life, especially in an economic world that requires both parents to work. It seems that in these days providing for your family simply means "paying the bills" and not actually treating them like your famliy.
anyway, we're getting severely off topic again, so perhaps a new thread is in order?

JudasIscariot: Again, a sister site could be the solution. But let's save this for later and work on the old games for now.

Games That Are Not Old Games So We Put Them In This Generic Pile Of Games That You May Or May Not Like?

You don't know that nobody could fly around the world to deliver presents... half the world doesn't believe in Christmas anyway. And why do you think that every mall in the remaining places has a Santa? They work for the big Santa in the North Pole! These smaller Santas do the deliveries with cloned reindeer. It all makes sense now!

Games I'd Like To Play? Well, that's a lot of games, wouldn't you think?

Hehe, it's always fun to do this. To say it with Terry Pratchett: "People prefer logic over common sense."
This is entirely from memory, so it's probably not entirely correct:
"There's a butterfly that can provoke storms, because of how his wings are shaped: The wings are a tiny bit fuzzy at the end. Now, every time you try to measure the circumference a bit more exact, it will always be a little more. So the circumference has to be considered close to infinity. If the circumference is close to infinity, logically, the surface of the wings has to be too, making it possible to create huge storms"

Problem is, I don't really like to separate between Mainstream and Indie games. Both are games and both have to be fun.
I mean what makes a game "Indie"? That it wasn't sold in boxes? That it only had a team of <10? That the publisher is accepted as an "indie" publisher?

i thought Indie games are by definition, games that are sold without a publisher, i could be wrong though
But there are indie games in stores. And there are mainstream games (Wipeout HD comes to mind), which are not (direct online marketing). Does this make Wipeout an indie game?
I bought it at Impulse but have yet to play it.
Maybe I'm getting confused here but I thought GOG specialized in old games. Not that I have anything against indie games (in fact, I've bought and enjoyed quite a few as of late) but I'm not sure if it is a good fit with the GOG model.

You're right... we're just thinking aloud how the GoG system would best be expanded to other kinds of games.
