I've got my sights on Flock for a while, but always hesitated. How is the co-op like? I've read some people's comments on co-op, and they usually aren't impressed with it.

This always makes me giggle.

Out of what I think has been added, here are my recommendations:

King Kong the movie the game - This one caught me by surprise. A fairly tense, if rather scripted and short, survival shooter with fun Kong beating up dinosaurs intermissions. For £2.50, it is totally worth a pop.

The Oddbox set - Nothing needs saying about the abe games, but Munch's Odyssey is a pretty cute 3d version of the first two games with the bells and whistles that come with it, and Strangers Wrath is the best (and possibly only) 1st person shooter and 3rd person platformer hybrid. An absolute blast.

Rainbow Six Vegas 2 - just as good as the first, not sure why the first one is not on sale, but if you enjoyed the SP on Vegas, you'll like Vegas 2. More of the same.

World In Conflct Complete - A great RTS. Makes me think of Men Of War in retrospect, but with less of the minutiae detail.

Call Of Juarez: Bound In Blood - Short but really enjoyable wild west first person shooter.

Brothers In Arms: Road To Hill 30 - The first game in, for my money, the most consistently good WW2 first person shooter series. A story that gets you emotionally invested in the characters, and a solid implementation of tactics required to see you through.

Victoria Complete & Crusader Kings - The games to move onto if you wish to graduate from the school of Europa Universalis 3.

I will again reiterate my recommendation of Fleet Command and Dangerous Waters for anyone who enjoys accurate, military RTS games. The Flatout games are good, clean, mindless fun.

I'm not sure. I've only ever played it single player but it comes with its own level editor and there are quite a few user-made levels for it. So the 'online' aspect that I've dealt with has been the level-trading side of it.

Single player is highly enjoyable though and something that you can pop in and pop out of easily when you're short on time.

Edit: Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Call of Juarez, FarCry 2 AND Assassin's Creed were being sold on Steam for like $12 last week. The GG prices are um, well, kinda high. ^^;

I don't think so. It says DRM-free on Gamersgate.

I agree on Armored Princess, but I'd say it still falls into the same trap Legend did. In that after you've completed a significant part of the game, I felt a significant feeling of "Ho-Hum". There's not enough story to compensate for the fact that you're doing the same exact thing over and over. Build up an army, start taking down all the enemies on an island piece by piece (because every island has insane armies you'll need to prepare / level for), grind it down to complete all the missions bit by bit, and then go to the next where you have to complete the entire process again.

If you're big on min / maxing your troops & strategies to minimize troop losses or find "game breaking strategies", I can see the game being easier. But even then you'd still have to grind. That's really my complaint is that it's not hard, it's just tedious.

But it's still worth a pick up cheap.

For me, it was moreso that the difficulty curve was bonked. Early on, I had to search out weak armies across multiple islands and destroy them one by one in order to get the experience points I needed, since there were so many orange and red armies wandering around. Once I cleared the elf lands, though, things got a lot easier in a hurry. By the time I finished the game, I had ignored a lot of grey armies and quests.

I think it actually felt less grindy than The Legend, since there's a better variety of armies to fight (not the same exact group over and over again) and traveling is faster and easier. Still, it's a very long game and it can get repetitive, so it's not something to binge on.

I would have to say if getting Armored Princess, get it with the Crossworlds expansion.

Armored Princess adds a lot more to The Legend and Crossworlds dumps even more on top of it.

Any thoughts on Sim City 4 Deluxe?

When I was a kid I played the original Sim City to death, but I haven't touched it in many years. I'm not sure if I'd still be into it.

If you still like the genre, this is a very good game: the newest Sim City to play. Don't ever lay your eyes on Sim City Societies !!!

The deluxe version is very good. Not my favourite city builder game, but no reason to not call that the best Sim City there is.

And whats your favourite city builder? I'm looking for suggestions. :p
