KneeTheCap: Umm, if I get Batman AA from GG, does it use that games for windows live -thingie? If it does, is it mandatory?

Sorry to sound like a complete simpleton :)
I can't say but playing this game is worth it, even if it requires it.

I played on 360, the game doesn't seem to lose anything on console.

Yes, it needs a GFWL account.

Can't you play with an offline account, like with some other games?
Someone remind me, if GG says "No Other DRM" you can technically make a complete, offline backup by grabbing the files from a temp dir, right?

"No Other DRM"? I don't think I've seen such a thing yet.

Do you mean DRM-free? If that's what you mean, well, the downloader creates a folder in which it downloads the setup files. Just copy those when the downloader has finished downloading them, and you're good to go.

Oh well, that's that then...

"Other DRM" on GamersGate usually just means it needs a serial key for activation. There is no problems with copying and saving the temporary setup files for these games. Just keep a copy of the serial key with the fiiles as well if you want.

Are the coins on that site a way to get games to people who live in areas with terrible exchange rates?

Blue coins are just a system of currency for the site that is also used as a rewards for customers as well. Since you can earn blue coins when purchasing games, reviewing or rating games, and solving questions for others. It's also a good way to gift someone an amount to buy a game and letting them pick out a game for themselves since you can also purchase and gift blue coins.

Thanks for the explanation.
Played the first Campaign mission in Warrior Kings: Batlles.

Can highly recommend it so far.

There's a tactical overhead map in between missions but very simple planning is involved. You can choose your next providence on the map to take over based on the resources and perks that it provides.

What kind of RTS is it? It looks like a Total War / King Arthur sort of game, but the video makes it look as if it plays more like Warcraft.

I wouldn't say "usually", it some times means DRM-free with a simple serial (even thought there are some games serial using games marked as "DRM-free") , but "Other DRM" can means anything, it can also be a custom online activation like it's the case for Mount & Blade.
Just to clear a doubt: I don't have a GFWL account, and I don't want to make one. Can I buy Batman: AA GOTY and play it with off-line accounts only or would I have to create an account?

IIRC it's possible to create an offline account (you do have to log in online once to activate and set things up) but you won't get achievements and DLC and won't be able to transfer saved games between computers.
