Seriously, these level 2 guys are really letting you down. Red Knight had +1 H, +1 D, +1 O, how did he fail? heh.

I'm glad there have been no draws in this game so far, though. Watch, now that I said that we'll probably have 3 draws in a row.
Good point. I'll post the rolls at the end of the descriptions from now on. I like doing the mini-stories too, they're fun! :)

Battle 5: Adambiser's Sentinel vs. Stooner's Cleric

The Sentinel slowly approached the iron gate of adambiser's fortress. She placed her back against the wall, waiting for the gate to creak open.

At the first sign of intrusion, she plunged her Longsword at the aggressor, striking the enemy Cleric just below her chin.

(Sentinel 17, Cleric 12: Hit)

Blood poured from the Cleric's neck, collecting in a crimson pool below her.

She held her left hand against her neck, reciting an ancient blessing. In a matter of moments, the wound had all but disappeared.

(Sentinel 12, Cleric 12 + 1 = 13 = Cleric Survives).

Reacting slowly, but with force, the Cleric swung her Quarterstaff upward's towards the Sentinel's head.

Guided by the will of the divine, the blow connected perfectly.

(Cleric 19, Sentinel 1 = Hit)

The Sentinel suffered massive brain trauma and collapsed to the ground. The Cleric knelt over her body, and recited a prayer for the dead.

"Rest now," she said, closing the Sentinel's eyes.

(Cleric 16, Sentinel 8 + 2 = 10 = Sentinel is defeated).

Stooner gains 1 victory point.

After 5 battles, adambiser leads Stooner by a score of 3 to 2.

Battle 6: Stooner's Longbowman vs. adambiser's Assassin

The Longbowman stood on his tower, scouring his surroundings for potential intruders.

In the distance, a shadow danced under the moonlight, taunting him and waving a blade
in his general direction. /montypython

He drew back upon his bow and shot an arrow towards his enemy, catching him right under the ribs.

(Longbowman 15 - 1 = 14, Assassin = 10, = Hit)

The Assassin shrugged off the hit, grabbed hold of one of the bricks on the tower and began to scale the wall.

(Longbowman 6, Assassin 13 = Assassin survives).

The Assassin threw a dagger over the tower's wall, whizzing towards the Longbowman and striking him in the back.

(Assassin 11 + 1 = 12, Longbowman = 11, = Hit)

The Longbowman spit up blood, before collapsing off of the tower. Lifeless, he hit the ground with a thud.

(Assassin 16 + 1 = 17, Longbowman = 14 = Longbowman defeated.)

Stooner's Longbowman is defeated.

adambiser gains 1 victory point.

After 6 battles, adambiser leads by a score of 4-2.

Muahahahaha!
Yeah, so an assassin probably wouldn't laugh like that, but oh well. :)
A wonderful recovery from the previous defeat.

Sorry for the lack of updates. Lots of stuff going on here.

Battle 7 coming in a few minutes, and I'll make sure the other battles are quicker, too.

Stooner's White Knight vs. adambiser's Psion

The Psion sensed a presence beyond the stone wall. It was the White Knight, of that, she was sure.

She placed a hand upon her head, envisioning him in her mind's eye. When the time was right, she let loose a blast of pure psychic energy.

The White Knight was caught off guard.

(4 + 4 = 8 = 7 = hit)

He felt the Psion's grip encapsulating his mind, squeezing it like a vice.

The White Knight sprang to his feet for one last attack, recognizing that his death was imminent.

(20 >= 10 + 1 = 11 = White Knight is defeated. Adambiser gains 1 victory point.)

The White Knight rushed around the corner, thrusting his sword into the gut of the Psion.

(20 + 1 = 21 > 10 = hit)

The Psion grabbed her ribs and hobbled away in pain.

(8 + 1 = 9 < 20 - 2 = 18 = Psion survives.)

adambiser gains 1 victory point, and now has a commanding lead of 5-2. The dice have not been in Stooner's favor, that's for sure.

Victory is within my grasp!

At least the worst that can happen for me is to have a tie and go another round with the survivors. :)

Stooner's Caster vs. adambiser's Warrior

The Warrior swung his mighty sword at the Caster, but missed badly!

(1 < 13)

The Caster countered with a bolt of arcane energy, narrowly striking the Warrior.

(4 > 3, no odd roll so no bonus, but a hit anyway)

The hit was more than powerful enough to end the Warrior's life!

(13 > 7 + 1 = 8)

Stooner gains 1 victory point.

After 8 battles: adambiser 5, stooner 3

Stooner still has a chance to tie, but he must win both of the remaining battles!
