I'm in!

Banished from their home,
Surviving another day,
Lost in a strange land!

Not an entry, obviously, since it's not haiku. I had a lot of fun with this one, way back when ;D

This one was written June 2, 2010 (and totally in the spirit of fun, despite my "disclaimer")

I'm bigger, stronger, faster, smarter
A startling, handsome woman
To eyes, a feast - no need to speak
My consciousness abounds

I'm long and lean, or in between
Big strong men will swoon
A beauty queen, I'm never mean
And have a high IQ

Mesmerizing, never lying
My humor is the best
Fair and kind to all mankind
Just put me to the test

I have two things to say right now
Before I end this verse
Luv ya much, give me your stuff
Lest ye all be cursed! XD

Doesn't qualify, not in, but kind of takes me back to another time.

Wells of misunderstanding,

Fill fountains of groans.

Men trip not on mountains,

They stumble on stones.

(referencing the druids who keep the land forever spring, from the King's Quest series)

Haven't done this in nearly a decade.

As the heat rises
And the time passes on by
I await the day

Nothing more than a friend
I am fine to be
As long as she's okay

My options are endless
But which one is worth doing?
This summer, I shall see

Yes !
I was afraid it'd be too cryptic and had rephrased it many times - hard to express the ideas i wanted in those lines. I had hesitated to edit it to something more like

Vengeful ears
But the crushing weight of silence
Alone killed you

which would have been a tad more explicit maybe, although losing the underness"and fate invisibility. Unhappy about the flow of it. A poet would have easily crammed it all these notions in it.

Anyway, I expect the two others to be quite straightforward for those who played them.

Facing endless traps,

All for priceless vase.

PS: Hope it's ok to write in English, I made a serious effort to learn Japanese after going to Japan 4 times but the language is too difficult so I gave up. Toire wa doko?

Falling to cover a rise
Lines fail but they suit

Thank you for the giveaway, Sazanamistyle. I love haiku, especially Bashō's hokkus. Since I don't know Japanese and the English translations I've read weren't good enough, it took me a long time to understand Bashō's works. Thanks to Makoto Ueda's marvelous book, "Bashō and His Interpreters: Selected Hokku with Commentary", I finally got a glimpse of his beautiful writing.

Anyway, here a few haiku for some of the GOG games:

left behind again
in the freezing cold
racing the sun

unleashing hell
in the warmth of the earth -
worms finally united!

why can't I jump?
Ah I see, the keyboard is broken!
vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv
