Still, you should just go and get it, the game is awesome. Like right now. Or just go to the giveaway threads, I actually have one open right now for (you guessed it) Deus Ex. And a few other irrelevant games nobody cares about. Why don't you take part?

I have a personal rule of a DX giveway every time it goes on sale, and it goes on sale a lot. And often, there are several copies gifted per giveway. So if you were a regular, and of course not a comrade triock the heretic, you'd probably have it already.

Well, I own the original Baldur's Gate retail box which I bought when the game came out, and I played it for an hour and uninstalled it. Just didn't grab me and I found the terrible screen door transparency grating. (I know, that has been improved with time, especially for those who own BG2, and I do, and haven't even downloaded it.)

As for Deus Ex, I downloaded it, installed New Vision, played a little and haven't touched it since.

I also own Sacrifice for a few years now without playing it.

So I'm pretty sure all forum goers hate me.

I have a confession to make and I'm glad this thread popped up again so I could do it. I'm having a play of Fallout right now and while it isn't the first time I've ever played Fallout, it is the 1st time I ever got out of the opening cave. :,-( I think figuring out how to make my own character (and make a good one) is helping.

Not liking Balder's Gate isn't that unusual.

I've tried 3 times and never was able to get into Balder's Gate. Story not as good as Planescape: Torment. Gameplay not as good as Icewind Dale.

I have no interest in Sacrifice at all.

It's not that I like or dislike them. I've never played them knowing that they're the best of the best.

And another log to the firepit: the same about Fallouts (nearly the same, I've once installed F1, seen the menu and uninstalled it :P).

After I log 6 more months on here and get my pc, I'll get back to you. ;)

As I wrote before, I just got too impatient in games. I don't know where it comes from... Few years back I enjoyed complex stories which come with RPGs.

Now sometimes I'm even skipping cutscenes which doesn't fit me at all, yet it happens. Strange things are going on...

I understand you zeffyr. I was never into RPG's that much but I did used to have enough patience to finish two or three before. Now on Might and Magic 3 but my wargames keep pulling me away. I did finish Stonekeep and Dungeon Master (well almost). Did three fourths of Might and Magic 6 which I love but computer got updated so did not complete. I just don't have too much time on my hands like I used to when I went thru all the Doom's and other greats....
