Actually, I've got a lot of experience on that scenario, my friends keep doing it every other day. When I'm in my hometown, at least. Then again, it's not like I need any effort to ridicule their gaming tastes as retaliation, they are dota fans...

I'm pretty sure you do. But are we talking about Dota fans in general? Or fans of Dota 1 or 2?

I'll calm you down a little bit - I have no opinion about any of Deus Exes, never got a chance to play them (what's different this time, I don't own them :P).

Deus 2 is no where nearly as good as 1 but I did enjoy 2 quite a bit.

They just tried to get me to play Dota2 with them just half an hour ago, and still at it according to steam. In fact, if I check the profile of the one I was just talking to... HOLY SHIT, 1,196 hrs on record!!!! Yeah, definately Dota 2 fan, I'd say.

Honestly? I'm scared to ask. They're my friends, and I wouldn't be able to look at them in the eyes afterwards.

Then again, on a game you've spent over a thousand hours, I'd say it's ok to drop a few coins on some crap. The entertainment hour per $ is still pretty cheap, and you support stuff you like. Not that I won't make fun of him next time I see him, mind you.
