So many broke ass n**as on here it seems. Beg or borrow just get this people. It's THAT worthwhile a purchase. It's a good series and with 5 games it's gonna last you forever.
I'm much more partial to the first Avernum trilogy, I've never liked Geneforge all that much, probably due to the combat system, which lets you cover huge amounts of ground during your turn.
Still well worth the current price though.

If these games are on Steam for this price point - I am going to wait and see if they make their way here.
Maybe I would but

They are indie games and not older games as Gog usually does so it may be a long wait. Plus it's a sale. They are usually more.

Have you not heard the recent announcement of newer games and indie developers makes a lot of sense to me.

It can be played without steam running straight from where it gets installed(steamapps/common/geneforge).

Just because they said that will possibly come here doesn't mean ALL indie devs will & probably games will be released at a slow pace.

I know what you are saying and a ten spot for all those games is a great price but I am willing to wait and see if they come here. I really want to keep the amount of digital games limited to one site and wish I would have done so from the beginning.

I understand and am not trying to pressure anyone into getting them if they don't want to. It's just I found a great deal and thought i'd share and see if any fellow Spiderweb fans are on the site. :)

Last I heard though, it was 'yes' to newer games but 'no' to indie

Have you posted this in the Games Deal Thread. I have played many of the Spiderweb Game Demos but never felt like paying the full price as I thought it was a bit much. Its nice to see these games making it out to other distributors and at $10.00 this is a great price. I have really been limiting my purchases lately to GOG in an attempt to keep the confusion to a minimum as to where I have games.

I think Jeff Vogel recently cut the prices on some of the older Spiderweb titles and for me personally I wanted to finally ditch those less than legal *cough* "borrowed" copies for some legal ones and help the devs out, ya know?

And yeah I posted this in the deals thread a few pages back.

Well, crap. Steam's suddenly decided it won't let me pay for things with paypal anymore (live in the US, have a UK bank).

If any kind soul could gift it to me on Steam, I'd be happy to repay with a $9.99 GOG (a site which will gladly take my money).
Tried the Demo of 1 and 3 (they've demos on their site for all 5 and they are pretty big demos so you get to try out a fair bit which is great!) though I'm not totally sold on them. Gameplay seems solid and overall I like the mechanics, maybe just a touch too oldschool in the appearance for my tastes and no in game music that I've heard (barring the into bit).

Gremmi - are you logging into steam with the installer or through the net? I find when steam deals come around their payment method on their installer will mess up (had that happen at least once or twice every sale event). If you log in via a webbrowser to your account it seems to run smoother.

Yep, just managed to sort it by manually browsing the UK website instead of the US one. Thanks for the tip! :)
