Hello

It would be nice if there was also a German-language forum, it will give something in the near future?

Thank you

(Sorry for my bad english)
I think it's an issue of moderation. I'm not sure what portion of GOG staffers know enough German to moderate such a forum.
hire a german? :)

There are no rules against posting in German.

well to be honest, i prefer to communicate in english as you know how most germans are, group building and then excluding everyone who doesnt fit, so id rather be not acknowledged to be one from the same country, this for me goes for games, forums (well not here obviously as it tells my country of residence), travelling and so on.
at the larger train stations or at the airport i usually speak english only aswell, keeps annoying questions and most idiots at bay :)
Language specific forums in an international community seldom do anything but divide the community or wither and die. Either way you're better off practicing your English here.

If you get stuck there's still enough German speaking people here to help you in your native language if necessary.
Well, the same idea has also been brough up about russian threads, and spanish ones and so on. But the point is: English is the world-wide lingua franca. So if you don't want to exclude anyone, it's better to stick with english.
Of course no one will prevent you from writing in German. Or in Swaheli or Klingon. But no one will prevent others from writing in English in the same thread. It's a quite free forum after all, and I like it that way. And I don't think that creating sub-forums (fora?) for specific languages in which the use of one language is enforced would be a nice way to go. And I don't think GoG would want such a structure either.

Pretty much this. :)
Also, could the german subforum have a switzertütsch section for us, please ? Hochdeutsch is a bit confusing.
A German forum!

We would discuss things like Gerhard Richter's works or the influence Germany had on the films of von Trier and Dreyer!

More like what David Hasselhoff has been up to lately, methinks. ;)

English may be the common tongue (for which I blame the Angles and the Saxons, by the way) but you haven't lived until you've heard Shakespeare performed in the original Klingon. ;)

They don't moderate the forum as it is so that considered... Bringt mir einen deutschen Diskussionsforum!
