So, what do you think Bush spent today doing?
Crying, I hope...
That would imply that he had some level of self-awareness, which I firmly believe he does not. I figure he spent today doing the same thing he did every other day of his Presidency: playing Candyland while Cheney actually ran the show.
he probably spent a lot of it packing, and is probably going to be doing a lot of good byes to staff.
also backing up whatever necessary files so he can write his book later on.
I expect he is planning to take a nice long fishing trip and disappear from the public eye. See my avatar? Does that look like someone who gives a damn what you peons think? ;)

So he can get someone to write a book for him, you mean. The man can barely put together a sentence in his own language. The mere thought of him writing a book on his own is laughable.

that's what editors are for, regardless, he's going to have a book and it's probably going to sell well, but maybe not for the right reasons.

I'll bet the book has lots of pictures and really big printing (so W can enjoy it too).
Aw, you guys know he and Laura are packing their bags with as much historical shit from the white-house as possible... It's his last opportunity to loot and fleece... maybe he invited all of his oil/defense buddies for a bbq and big looting party. ;)
I am not sad to see him go.

AoE: oil/defense buddies .
They can't make it, they're waiting for the inauguration so they can rub elbows with obama and try to get him to see their ways then.
Well, if your going to cost the people money you might as well start early with the most expensive inauguration in US history. Link
That's only because this is the most significant inauguration in recent memory and everyone is interested in going to it (I would if I could afford to). The costs have gone up to cover things like security, a massive number of port-o-potties and aid stations. Its not like they are spending that money on balloons and streamers. Besides, the influx of cash into the Washington DC local economy will certainly help a city that has been hit hard by this recession.

also, food, memorabilia.
My guess is that he spent all day aproving shadowy bills and projects that will give him, his family and his buddies, directly or indirectly, more money, lands and/or power.
And approved more ways to scre" peoples rights and liberties.

Almost none of that is paid for with federal funding. Food and memorabilia for the public is paid for with private funding by "inauguration profiteers".
