With another week coming to an end, once again we're providing you a bargain offer for some of the best games from the past. This weekend we're having a special selection of "Gems of Gaming" - it's a GoG promo! :) In this edition of Gems of Gaming promo we're giving you a fixed 40% discount on some RPG and adventure games like: [url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/divine_divinity]Divine Divinity, Simon the Sorcerer, The Feeble Files, and more. Whole selection of games on offer is available on the promo page. The promo ends as always on Monday (March 14 at 11:59 ET), so get cracking.
I already own both of the Divinity (both hard copies and GOG copies), so unfortunately I won't be getting anything else on this deal (the other games just aren't my kind of games).
If anybody is wondering about Divine Divinity then I would also highly recommend it. It really is an incredible game that will provide you with many hours of fantastic game play, plus it has great replay value.
As for Beyond Divinity, I'm not quire so sure. I've started playing it a few times, but can never really seem to get that far into it before losing interest. They made some changes from the original that just didn't seem to work all that well, and the story itself isn't nearly as captivating.
For the price they are offering it at, it's probably still worth your time to get it and try it out (perhaps you will find more to it than I could). I have so many games on my backlog to catch up on, but hopefully soon I will be able to give it another go.

Mamutte: I don't play much adventure game and i need to know which of these are actually worth it?
Both Simon 1 and 2 are good games.

Thanks for help. I'm thinking to take this but like i said, i don't play much adventure game and don't know if i'll like.
Really, at these prices does it matter? If I were on the fence about any one game this is the ideal time to try them. If you like them then bonus, if not well you didn't spend too much, probably the same amount that you'd tip the pizza delivery dude. I say open your mind a little bit, go out on a limb and experiment.

Seconded.

I had a really hard time trying to enjoy it & eventually gave up.

I play all type of games but adventure games are those i have less contact.
Man, your words convinced me.

Awesome!! Enjoy!
Might have to pick up those Simon the Sorcerer games.
Eh. GOG has spoiled me too much with their past promos. Where's the bundle deal at 50% or even 60% off the whole lot?

Not that I would get them anyway. It seems every promo these days either has stuff I already have or isn't a good enough deal to grab my attention.

I'm still waiting on a BIS deal at 50% or (but not likely) 60% off, but it probably isn't going to happen. xP
Great promo! I'll be grabbing Simon the Sorcerer this week, and maybe the second one too. I'm tempted by Feeble Files and Divine Divinity, but the size of the downloads is putting me off.

EDIT: By the way, is Simon the Sorcerer 3D really a bad game? I hear everyone complain about it, but all I've really heard from people is that graphics are horrendous. Personally, I don't care about graphics, and consider good graphics more of an extra than something essential. So are there any game breaking flaws? I'll still get 1 and 2 before 3D, but if I finish them and want more, I'm curious as to what 3D is like.

Well, I only own one game of the lot (Simon 1) but still have a lot of games bought but not played. Simon 2 looks good, I may end up buying it.

Divine Divinity looks interesting but I have no experience with RPG. Tthat didn't stop me from buying a few RPG titles in the big year's end sale; I will probably pass DivDiv until I played a few RPGs and I'm sure I like this kind of games.
Seriously? You have a promo about RPG gems and none of the Bioware titles make an appearance? With all due respect this pack should be titled "The Third or possibly fourth tier squad of RPGs that GOG has to Offer" Really guys its well worth the extra money to get Icewind Dale or Torment, or Neverwinter Nights over this selection.

Glad you had a sale GOG but calling these the "gems" of your catalogue is borderline misrepresentation.

I've also been wondering this. I fully expect it to look horrendous since it's an early 3D game that shouldn't have been 3D (those were always a mess) but I don't really care. In a game like that I care about the humor, and if it's still funny I don't really care that much about how it looks. So does anyone know? Is it really as bad as people say or does it just look bad?

I guess I'll get it either way. It's cheap and I should complete my Simon the Sorcerer collection.
Calling Personal Nightmare and Waxworks "gems" greatly offends my sensibilities. Those games are stupid and terrible and nobody should buy them.
Already have Divine & Beyond, don't know much about the Simon the Sorcerer series so will pass for now. Thank you for the promo though. Always appreciate it!
