Definitely an appropriate promo. Bought.

I wonder if we'll ever see any other sports games brought to GOG. I would like that.

G-Doc: Notice the singular form ;-)
Also note that they essentially say the sequel isn't good in the promo blurb. I found that hilarious and refreshing.
Excellent promo, two great titles at an attractive discount!
I read "Sensible Sorcerer Series" and got curious, but then... :-(
CHOMP

Hahaha, exactly.
I don't like at all the intro video making fun of Suarez, that's pathetic, shame on you GOG!! :(

And if you look at the 2nd screenshot here you may see a knight with a kite shield on the field. Now that might actually make soccer interesting.

Bottom of that same screen shows the match is GOG vs DRM. Nice, except GOG has not scored. If GOG played as that knight I bet they could score many dead DRM team members.
Why is the download size of Sensible World of Soccer 96/97 260 MB?

What I'm curious about is in regards to Sensible World of Soccer 96/97 is that one of the screens shows the roster, which is obviously names of GOG employee's. Which begs the question...

Does GOG force their interns to really wear red shirts? ;)
Hiiiiiilarious promo video. Well done GOG :D

Alternatively you could have included some vampire games too ;)
If only SWOS had some kind of difficulty settings. The AI always tends to have an easy time handing my ass to me on a silver platter. The reason I probably never noticed back in the day is that then I was really only playing against my brother all the time. Good times.

More pathetic than a world-class player, who should know better, repeatedly returning to these kind of antics? I think him very well deserving to be made fun of.

Frankly, I thought it was a pretty clever bit of advertising.

So, because a person did something wrong, it's perfectly ok for a company to make fun of him? Your attitude (and GOD's attitude as well) is not any better than Suarez's

Also, if you think that a company showing disrespect for an individual is 'a clever bit of advertising', then we're certainly have opinion about how a company should behave.

Yes, it is. It's not only "OK", it's a good thing. Everyone should do it. If society brought enough pressure to bear against immoral acts, people wouldn't be so inclined to do such stupid shit.

From here:

In 2011, he was found guilty by the FA of racially abusing Patrice Evra. Suárez has bitten three opponents, and has been widely accused of and admitted to handball against Ghana in the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Oh, look, you're from Uruguay. Surprise, surprise. (Who else is likely to defend this piece of human crap?)

Guess what -- you're part of the frigging problem. You and people like you is why Suárez was still able and willing to claim yet another victim. (Unfortunately it's a very common societal problem. It's the same reason the US has so many scum-bag congressmen in DC. Far too many people defend and keep voting in their piece of shit politician because he's their piece of shit politician. Divide and conquer is a very effective technique for separating human beings from their morals.)

As an aside, I've thought we should just get rid of things like the Olympics and World Cup and what not, at least in their current form. They're stupidly pointless and prove nothing about the host countries. If we want to see how two countries really compare at a given sport or event, we should just pick a small random pool of people from each country about one week before they have to show up. Then we'd find out what the real scoop is! (And I say this knowing full well that the US is then not likely to win a single event because too many of us are slow moving blobs.)

Such an appropriate Freudian slip, oh Satan's servant.

And making fun of someone for biting people is not only not a good thing, but just as bad as biting people? I can't even begin to comprehend that level of moral ignorance.
