Time to look up "oniric"!

Psychonauts, an immensely original and funny 3D action-adventure platformer with surreal story and oniric environments, is available 60% off on GOG.com. That's only $3.99 for the next 24 hours.

In this world created by Tim Schafer and his Double Fine team, there is a very special summer camp for kids with psychic special powers. Just as in any other well-organized summer camp, the children participate in various activities to earn merit badges. But instead of kayaking, building stick huts, lighting fire with two pieces of wood, they try to master levitation, hypnosis, and pyrokinesis. But just as every good summer camp story, this one also sees a sudden twist, when a mysterious evildoer abducts one psychic kid after another into the twisted realms of nightmares. It's up to Raz, a young but extraordinarily gifted cadet, to save the day, and it's up to you to enjoy every single bit of this oniric experience!

Psychonauts combines a well executed 3D platformer mechanics, surreall design, fantastic plot, sharp humor, and many innovative ideas into one game that you won't soon forget. This title received high praise from gamers, critics, and game designers alike, and remains a landmark that stands out from a somewhat crowded genre. If you value originality and excellence in design, at $3.99 Psychonauts is an offer you simply should not refuse.

You're up for an unforgettable oniric trip in Psychonauts, for only $3.99 on GOG.com. The promo lasts until Tuesday, May 27, at 9:59AM GMT.

Fantastic: Well, it looks like this is a very long GOG gem promo :) (although I think it's just a mistake, I don't think it lasts longer than a day).
Gowd... I'm sorry :-( I'm running a fever and probably shouldn't be trusted with writing today. Corrected.

diziet: So this promo lasts until March next year? Good to know there's no rush. :-D

Hey, truhlik77's PayPal account! BUY BOTH
Hmm, dictionary.com spells it "oneiric". Is it spelled differently in different versions of English, like color and colour?
I like pysconauts, it's a great adventure game disguised as a (somewhat mediocre) platormer

Get well soon :)

And for Psychonauts: I played it through a dozen times at least and still I got this itching to play it again once in a while. IMHO the best platformer available for PCs.
Yeah psychonauts would be a legit contender in a list of the best games ever made. Its that kind of good.
Own it here AND through HB. :P

I kind of wish GOG would take the opportunity to use this promo to promote more obscure games in their catalog.

Like, I dunno, maybe some of these

Subwar 2050 Complete
Cannon Fodder 2
Torin's Passage
Hind
Slipstream 5000
Normality
Restaurant Empire
Combat Mission
Expendable
Great game, shitty company. Download it, send GOG a dollar and a steaming pile of shit to Doublefine.

Cheers.
Wonderful game. I highly recommend it.

Don't pass this by!

LOL glad I read the thread first as I came here to post just this ;)

I have to admit that made me grit my teeth a little. He made a relatively obscure word the centerpiece of his writeup (which is kind of cheesy in and of itself), then misspelled it four times. I could be wrong and this is a legitimate alternate spelling, but the fact that it only gets a handful of hits on google (with the + operator) isn't a good sign.

But then again:

We're only human over here.

It appears to be a less common, but valid, alternate spelling.

From Wiktionary:
Adjective[edit]
oniric (comparative more oniric, superlative most oniric)

Alternative form of oneiric. [quotations ▼]
An oniric feeling permeates the whole film.
The foggy effect gives an oniric feeling to the whole picture.

Edit: Get better G-Doc, some hot soup and a hotter blonde will fix you right up. ;)

Saw that, yeah. Not sure how much I trust Wiktionary, but it's a precedent at least. Languages are fickle beasts.
Yea, I really wouldn't trust Wiktionary over dictionary.reference.com (which is a dictionary aggregator, no less).

Besides, everyone worth their while knows the word Oneiric. Oneiric Ocelot, man!
