Gonna smoke me some pork!

Hogs of War, a pork-flavored turn-based strategy classic with multiplayer for 4 and cheeky sense of humor is available on GOG.com 60% off. That's only $2.39 for the next 24 hours.

Arm your Hogs of War to the teeth with a choice of 40 different weapons including sniper rifles, bazookas, mines, jetpacks, cluster grenades, and tanks to fight for one of six different pig armies, each one based on a real nation from the First World War-era: Great Britain, Russia, Germany, Japan, France, or the USA. There's an explosive 25 level single player campaign for you to take on, and an addictive online multiplayer mode for up to four players. You can customize your squad as you promote your hogs from Grunt to Officer in one of four different classes - Heavy Weapons, Medic, Espionage, or Engineer - your swine will learn more skills and acquire the use of a wider range of weaponry. All this with a solid serving of cheeky sense of humor brought to life by the vocal talents of renowned British comedian Rik Mayall.

If you are open to some over-the-top humor in your turn-based strategy games take Hogs of War for a spin, for only $2.39 until Tuesday, December 2, at 10:59AM GMT.
Forum bump. Not very interested personally, but some others might be...
The announcement is missing a "<" in the beginning...

Not interested myself.
Before you buy, get to know the difference between PC and PS1 version. (for example in Review section of the game).
Nice promo but not really interested since I never heard about this game before.

I am probably a total noob, but what is a forum bump? ;-)
The game works perfectly (as someone who played this on both PS1 and PC back when it was released I know what I'm talking about) except for one thing that should be patched, the music audio is too loud comparing to SFX&speech so when those play at the same time you can miss a lot of witty piggy comments (and those never get old and are very important).
You should definitely give this gem a try and at this price it's a steal!

Well... The announcement was hidden and hadn't shown up. It usually shows up when a forumite goes to the newspost from the front page and clicks on "be the first to comment!". By being the first to comment, the newspost then finally shows up on the forum. Because of this same thing, however, there might be announcements that show up way before they were supposed to(an example is the announcement for this year's GOG Xmas sale, that has shown up hours-or even days-before the actual sale because someone searched and found the thing and then posted there)
In other contexts it might mean pushing to the front page a thread that had nobody posting there for several hours by posting there, as this changes the "last post before..." column.
Hm... on one hand I really want it. On the other hand the AI thing in the PC version really bugs me. Will need to think this through.
And bought.
Already wanted it when it was 50% off but forgot about it.
Good promo.

It doesn't make things any easier if that is what you're afraid of. ;)
