The original music video has surpassed 1 Billion views... by 23 million! The most watched YouTube ever. And that don't count the hundreds of millions who've watched from other channels. i see that just one of them has over 169 Million views. Has only been around for 5 months. Even Bieber didn't get that kind of action. Congrats South Korea, you've bested the best of the west :)

I watched this only once, and it is a terrible disaster. Maybe I am not capable, but I really can't understand what people hear in this crap. Does it uplift them? Does it make them cry? I'm being serious, I really don't get it.

I think Americans just like weird Asian things. >.>

That being said, I'm not particularly a fan of Gangnam Style, but I like that for once the internet finds something funny that's actually supposed to be funny.

Because peoples, notably 4chan, kept on spreading the videos to tell the world how much it sucked, which in turn increased their visibility. Plus, he actually has millions of fans

I don't think many people actually like the song, the "fill in the blank style" just makes good fodder for doing parodies.

It's one of those "viral videos". It's like "the cake is a lie".

I don't find it interesting or funny, but everyone seems to add in a mention of it in a cringe worthy awkward moment. Heh heh, yes that's very funny (NOT)

Again, I was talking about the track. I find the two things to be totally unrelated, a beautiful, emotional, uplifting track can have two old men and a cup video for all I care.
