This week we’re resuming our weekend sales on great games with our “Gaming Greats” sale!

This time we’ve got for you three different franchises from three different genres, so we’re sure that everyone will find something to buy this weekend, all for 50% off! Starting with one of the epic franchises we’re really proud to bring to GOG, [url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/little_big_adventure]Little Big Adventure (or Relentless Twinsen’s Adventure, if you live in the States), and its sequel Little Big Adventure 2 (a.k.a. Twinsen’s Oddysey). Both are a real must-have for any adventure game fans and now you can enjoy the whole saga in full EFIGS with Windows 7 compatibility.

Next in line is one of the best RTS franchises of all time. Empire Earth: Gold Edition, and both of its sequels, Empire Earth 2: Gold Edition, and Empire Earth 3. Control your chosen nation through hundreds of thousands of years, either rushing forward with your research to be the first one to get gunpowder, or by using some more sophisticated measures to diplomatically outsmart your opponents to victory!

Last--but not least--is a franchise which revolutionized modern first person shooters. ArmA: Cold War Assault (first published as Operation Flashpoint by Codemasters) was the first FPS to introduce battles on such a big scale, with full fledged armies (controlled by a sophisticated AI system) clashing on a huge battlefield. ArmA Gold Edition lets you be one of the foot soldiers in an enormous war machine, or just sit a mile away and snipe them one after another, but be sure to take into account the wind, the ballistics of a bullet, and that HUMVEE that’s coming your... what?! Gotta run!

The promo starts now until *pant, pant* on Monday, January 23rd at 11:59 a.m. EDT All the games on sale are 50% until then, so be sure to grab the games in time!
At the risk of making myself look stupid (or worse, insufficiently geeky)... EFIGS? What does that mean?

English, French, Italian, German, Spanish
I would jump on LBA + LBA2 but as others I bought them straight away on the christmas awesome sale, still, there are many other games in my wishlist that I hope to see on the next weekend sales :)
Shame the discount is the same as it was over Christmas... does make it feel a little pointless, unless GOG are trying to increase sales on games that sold badly or try to offer something to new takers who arrived since Syndicate came up. I'm still umming & arring over the LBA series. I might get them eventually but I doubt this'll be the last time they go on sale and I still have a tonne of games to play through first anyhow.
Great promo, but not interested in strategy games, and already picked up Twinsen 1&2 during the holiday sale.
well, the two LBA games were among the few games i did not pick up during the Holiday Sale (and i picked up a lot...), so i might just get them now...

Were my confidence in GoG's ability to deliver product as-marked not fractured by a repacked Empire Earth Gold Edition version, I would pick up some games.

As it stands, it's just not worth spending $5 for a title that isn't the actual, real, patchable game, when you can spend $15 and get one that is. As it is a huge time-sink insofar as messing around with settings and files, it's not even worth $2.50, as your time (mine, at least) is not worthless.

Ohhhh, it's Little Big Planet on sale, but wait ... I promised myself to only buy GOG's during the big summer and christmas sales from now on.

But still you tempt me so, Mr. Weekend Salesman.

Roman5: Good promo

I must admit that I would prefer being rewarded with a higher discount for more titles bought but 50% is good too

I also like how there are games from different publishers instead of just one
They're trying to alternate between the promo types to satisfy both people. It's silly to complain about either in most cases as most people are whining over a 60 cent difference per game.
Question: Arma Cold War Edition or Arma Gold Edition? For a newbie to the Arma series, which would be better?
Hmm nice ArmA games on cheap.

Does ArmA Gold still have that bug that would blacken out the graphics when you have more than a certain amount of ram? I tried the demo a month ago, but had this bug and found out you had to limit system memory in order to play it. I'm not doing that for one game.

Already got both during the christmas sale and the free Empire Earth. The sequels to Empire earth aren't that highly rated here though so i'll probably pass..

I'd suggest ARMA cold war. The graphics and engine are less advanced but the story and missions, 80s setting are not to be missed. It'll take you a while to get through and then you can always get ARMA gold if you like what you saw.
