I want a proper Ghostbusters game. Kinda like X-Com:

You can build rooms in your base, train your ghostbusters, research ghosts and build cars. If you get a call you drive to the mission in an open world NY, kinda like GTA, and when you arrive it transforms into an easily controlled tactical shooter like Rainbow Six Vegas, only with proton packs. God, I want it SO much.
I think that the world would be ready for another Vampire: The Masquerade game. Anyone?
This thread needs more Gabriel Knight! Wraaaath!

I speak german, and yeah, kinda like that. Never knew that game existed. Damn, I need a C64.... And a crew of talented programmers that program a remake. For free. Only for me. Now.

Eh here is what I would like to see be made, although this is more of a fantasy than anything else really.

Name: When You're In the Dark

Genre and Format:

First off the game would be in a survival horror game using tactical turn based system much like Eschalon Book Trilogy, where the player and enemies take their simultaneously. The camera angle would isometric preferably. The game would be an RPG, but not in the ordinary sense of level ups and experience points. That leads to my second part of the game I would like…

Advancement and Character Creation
Let me being Character Creation, which would happen before the game. Instead of plugging in numbers for attribute points, the player would choose traits and flaws of his or her character, ala like FATE the pen and paper RPG, from a list. This would allow players who are not used to roleplaying to able to get into the game without being overwhelmed by an array of options. Not only that but it allows for effective and clean character customization.

Next for skills a player would choose a skill they major in, followed by two Minor skills, and the rest of the skills being miscellaneous. Once again this set up is for efficient yet powerful customization.

Now we move onto advancement. Since the dream game of mine would take over the course of seven days at the most (see Setting and Storyline section), standard level ups and experience points would not make sense in context.

In place I would have an advancement system based on items, taking upon curses, body deformation, and other onetime power ups that would be guarded by traps, enemies, and mini bosses that way we the development team could guide the character where to go by giving them the illusion of choice, when in fact we are just giving them possibility of trying the much harder areas although eventually they would choose the easiest route-the one we wanted them to go on. Now let me move onto my next section which would be….

Gameplay
Now in my dream game, as I have previously said, would be turn based akin to the Eschalon series. It would use a singular player since horror it hard to do with multiple players, especially in an isometric view.

The gameplay focus would be on firearms and melee with epic, powerful one shot spells interspersed used during mini-bosses, bosses, and extremely hard encounters. This would differentiate it from other fantasy/ nu-fantasy games where magic is king and firearms and melee are alright.

Now handling health I would do it different as well. It would basically be divided among six main areas of the body: head, the center mass, left and right legs and arms. Here is what would happen, for example if arm HP hit zero, it would be crippled causing the player unable to use guns in their right hand, use two handed weapons, and generally make the right arm useless. Same thing would apply to the other arm, crippling the legs would cause the player’s movement speed to rapidly decline, and body and head hitting zero would mean death.

Healing be mostly consist of finding bandages, finding trigrams which are basically save points, rest stations, a place to recuperate however this trigrams are limited in the amount they heal. Also you could improve your overall maximum health and the like by making deals with demons.

Storyline
The storyline would take over the course of seven days, with each section being a day. It would take place in a mansion slash underground lab in a setting where dress ware from the eighteen sixties, high grade modern weaponry, and bioengineering are in and very common.

Basically the story would be you are looking for daughter, who has vanished for two years at the time of the game. All clues have led to this mansion, where the story would take place.

Now a short summary of the storyline would be the player has to more than likely sell more and more of their soul to demons, slowly go insane because of genetic augmentations, or lose humanity as the submit to replacing their body parts with crude mechanical replacements. Choices would be mundane things like sparing a scientist, praying at an altar of an avatar at first but with each section the choices would get harder and harder to make such as sacrificing an innocent human you know very well to a demon or losing a limb and being forced to get the crude mechanical limbs.

The ending would be determined by your current sanity, humanity, and how many and which demons you made deals with, all of which would be mostly behind the scenes with small little sentences notifying when you crossed a major threshold. The daughter would be saved no matter but all the effects of your decisions, and what happens to you would be shown via slideshow at the end. The mood of ending would be bittersweet at best and depressing at worst.
A remake of Skies of Arcadia with a better combat system and more focus on the airship portions of the game.

I love SoA but it really hasn't aged well.

HeDanny: Remake of Wizball.

Wishbone: Hey, another Wizball fan :-D

You do know there are already a couple of different remakes of it, right? Still, no version I've tried beats the original C64 version.
Yes. Yes I am! Best. co-op game. ever.

I've seen a few remakes, but always happy to try others. My favorite, one I've played almost as much as the original c64 version, is the one from Retrospec. Honestly its fantastic, altho so far I have only played it in solo. The music in particular I find just astonishing.
I would also like a good open RPG based around Greek or Roman Mythology.
An interactive story set in modern times where you go to the country to meet some of your family. One of the scenes will be you walking through some woodland while your dad or maybe uncle talks about the barn his uncle used to have around there.

I'm thinking along the lines of something with the design of Tale of Tales and the resources of Bethesda.

I doubt I'd play it myself, but the industry and community kind of needs this type of game to exist.
I would like to see a remake of Baldur's Gate by Blizzard or Bioware... And another Portal game will be nice too.
Oh and definetly couple of console games with good ports to PC - Heavy Rain,Gears of War...etc.

I would love to see the game Colonization made available. I loved that game. Could play it for hours on end.
Somehow I managed to forget that I would like someone to finish SiN.
