I'm looking through GOG.com for all games with Dwarves as a main/playable character, whether you create them yourself or are required to play as one. I shall seek out and someday play every Dwarf of every game, i have already done so for many games but feel free to list any you know of on GOG.com, its difficulty to just find them since most games do not properly list "Has Dwarves" as a feature, but they should. PC only if possible.
MMO's will be a separate list.

On the list. (non-mmo) WIP.
300 Dwarves
A game of Dwarves
Age of Wonders (series)

I think Arcanum and Sacred Gold have playable dwarven characters.

Thank you ! These games do boast 'Dwarves' as a feature and while i've heard of them i never looked at the page. I'll be wish listing all suggestions for eventual purchase. After awhile i'll compile a list here to prevent many double suggestions. I guess i should already rule out Dragon Age, Neverwinter 2, Ice Wind Dale, Baldurs Gate, Disciples, Warlords Battlecry, D&D: Dragonshard, the Age of Wonders series, and virtually every MMO (would love to find more obscure Dwarf-able ones)

No problem, and I looked into the Sacred Gold character classes to double check- the game lets you play as a Dwarf for sure, but also as a Serephim or Vampireress. I never knew, sounds like fun!
Now that i look at it, i've played a demo of this, probably about the time it came out. I think gladiator was the only option. Interesting that the 'races' are like Classes, i kind of like that since Dwarf is an awesome class. Pity it has two Elf races in it, but its understandable since wherever Elves go, Dark Elves follow. Curse the inevitable evil in every elves cold heart.
Severance: Blade of Darkness features a dwarf as one of the character choices.
For the action front, there's Severance: Blade of Darkness.

Edit: Ack! Ninja'd from the darkness!

I'm not sure if this counts but Heroes of Might and Magic V: Hammers of Fate is a turn based strategy that has a dwarf race to play as. The other heroes games have dwarfs I think but only as minions.
I love the Dwarves in WBC; when they finish building something they compliment themselves for it. XD Smug bastards! :P
Golden Axe, the archetypal game with a dwarf in it.

"Finished! And not a half bad job if i say so myself" Or something like that? Yeah i love'm but they're so damn slow!
Oops i forgot to include HoMM5 which features one of the BEST dwarf factions ever, totally loved that. Will be sure to look up Blade of Darkness. Aye played the old Golden Axe, such a shame the noble dwarf hero had to sacrifice himself to save the universe.

Bonus points to Severance, i see no Elf character <3 SUCK MY BEARD ELVES!

Slow but tough as nails, and their buildings are too.
Well I know Master of Magic has a Dwarf race... adamant Hammerhands are truly a force!
Lords of Magic also has a Dwarf race. Fair warning: it includes some halflings & gnomes.

Wizardry series and Realms of Arkania series.

I highly recommend Dwarf Fortress. It's a game where you control a dwarven caravan and carve your empire.Sure, it's pretty complicated but you'll won't experience any other game like it. Plus, it's free! I still remember my livestock turning undead and killing most of my dwarves....yeah....
It's still fun though!
