Does anyone happen to know where I can find a rpg that has a melee/oriented tank for a main boss. Kind of like Sarevok in BG1, Slith King in Avernum 1 EFTP, and General Ghorr in Eschalon Book 2.

My preferred games that I haven't completed yet- Neverwinter Nights SOU, NWNights HOU, Icewind Dale 1, Icewind Dale 2, Fallout 2, Divine Divinity, Avernum 2-6, Geneforge 2-5. All those games I am interested in but haven't finished yet.

I finished Geneforge 1, Avernum EFTP, Fallout 1, Planescape Torment, BG 1 and 2, The Quest, Eschalon Book 1 and 2 and Avadon 1.

I manage to beat Sarevok by simply buffing out my fighter protaginist with all sorts of enhancements while wearing the best equipment in the game and have the best stats and Sarevok went down in 1 or 2 hits, and my fighter did it all by himself.

Well that's pretty insane. I usually do it with a group of 3 warriors/divine users. Its more fun as a group but still cool if you can do solo.

I was mostly asking games other than the ones listed though. Have you played fallout 2.
Fallout 2 you should really finish. the end boss will be up your street I think
Spiderweb Software's Avadon. Except you fight that boss if you take the path to.

Oh so he's that guy on the cover of the game menu. Thanks. You just made my day!

This is sad but all I can think of are NES bosses like the dude in Ninja Gaiden with the chain and the giant robot dude in Contra, and that fucking tank halfway through Metal Gear.

and King Hippo.

and that plow thing early on in Metal Gear. What the hell was that doing inside anyway and how did they get it in there!? It was way bigger than any of the doors! :O

Does Avernum or Nwnights have any lunatics? (Aside from Avernum 1 with SLith King)

Not sure what image that is.

He is the one that the first time you see him is in a cutscene killing a man wife and child not long after leaving Arroyo and have traveled some of the World map.

Ninja Gaiden was a game I tried to stay away from. I heard horror stories from one of my buddies about dragons that can kill in 1 shot and bosses that are so out of this world, 1 reflex move you miss and your fucked. That's good for people that are fast, Im not that fast, lol.

I rememeber that scene. Awesome! Thanks a lot. Do you know of any others or are they different genres?

I've just backstabbed him with my fighter thief, then invisibility potion then another backstab.. :)

If you fight him with brute force than he is tough. I fought him with Imoen and my shadowdancer. I backstabbed once, hide in plain sight, Backstabbbed twice, hide in plain sight, backstabbed 3 times-dead. The shadowdancer in BGEE is too overpowered because the developers failed to make hide in plain sight more than once per round. The current system has it being infinite so no enemy in the first game is able to kill a highly lvled shadowdancer.
