Bah, I forgot about Blood Omen 2. Serves me right hoping it would include decent controls and save system.
you know, this one may not count becuase it was free, but i regret the ultima savage frontier game. way to stupid, all i did was wander around the endless roads at night going to villages where the people said the same old things again and again. i never encountered any bad guys, and frankly unless you have a torch or something, traveling at night is very uncomftorble to the eyes. the screen shrinks to nothing.

i however like ultima 6. go figure.

also, ultima 4 was probably the most outdated rpg i've ever played in my life, but after a second go, i really realized how great it was. old, outdated, bad graphics, people don't say much, monsters run away before you can kill them, this is all true but the core of the game is very addictive none the less. don't think i'll be purchasing ultima 123 any time soon, but 4 is a great addition to my library.
Feel like bumping this thread if anyone got any more dissipointment from the games they bought here.

Me Far Cry 1 it sucks I made a whole thread about it.
None. Even if a game disappoints me, the relief of having quenched my curiosity is worth the GOG range of prices.
How can you regret any game you only paid $5 for? Obviously this doesn't apply to people who aren't cheap like myself and spend more than $5 for a game.

I will confess that I entered a giveaway the other day, won it, and kind of wish I had left it to someone who would enjoy it more.
I guess I regret buying Hotline Miami since my can't handle it. It looks like a great game, but it just doesn't work on my pc. My friend told me his pc can handle it and it still doesn't work, so not sure if it's my pc or just the game. I'm buying a new pc soon anyway so i'll try it then
Alan Wake - for me the screwed up controls completely destroyed the game. I mean, it has a great atmosphere as long as one doesn't move around. But as soon as you start running - or worse, if you try to fight - frustration kills all the atmosphere that was there. And it's not exactly cheap either (for such a load of ...), so this is the one purchase I actually regret.

SHIT! It always worked for me but I havn't played it in a couple weeks. I read your post, went to play it, and now I get an error that "if" I can get around gives me the game without music. You jinxed me I tell you, jinxed me!!!

EDIT: turns out to be a common and random crash. I love this game but HAL wasn't this bugged!

Easy! The game is so boring or broken in some way (objectively or subjectively, it doesn't matter) that even the low price doesn't represent its low value.

I recently finished Butcher Bay and Dark Athena in the Dark Athena version I bought here and I pretty much regret buying it. It had it's very, very few moments but that was that. I'm quite sure I'm going to regret a bunch of old games I bought here that were released around the time of 90 to 95 or even pre-90s but I don't think I've a game that old as they usually have a horrible interface and controls that I don't particarly like.

Then again I never signed up here because of old games but because sooner or later all games become (relatively) old and they end up here with the latest patches and DRM-free and I figure that's a good future proof way of playing games to make them work great.
I loved Butcher Bay but I have the original Directors Cut before they tampered with it for the whole Athena thing.
I've been disappointed a couple of times, but not to the point of regretting that I actually bought the game. Live and learn, as they say. Life's too short for regret.
Ever bought a game, regret it, try it again a few years later and totally love it? That would be me and C&C.
For me, Starflight 1 & 2. GOG never properly prepared these games for modern systems. Parts are way too fast and when you screw with dosbox other parts are too slow, so the game has to be adjusted frequently. Don't ask about saving and in game copy protection..

I'm sure I have other GOG games that I haven't tried to play yet.
