Silver- There is a good reason why most people haven't heard of this console port game.

Not a single one. I don't even understand most of complaints here for the games I have too.

For example, Die by the sword? Fucking AWESOME game with AWESOME controls, that require some training, but once you manage to get around them - it's rewarding itself. It's worth to buy that game for Arena mode alone. There's no better feeling in the world than to perform a backflip and chop the ogre's head off! :D

Age of Wonders? Amazing game, and AI on lower difficulty settings is easy to beat. Again - as you get around the fact you need to produce a lot of low tier units at the beginning and only then invest in research.

Feeble Files? One of the most entertaining and fun adventure games ever.

Outdated graphics? I don't care a slightest.

I don't regret a single buy here, nor a single game that was gifted to me. Some of them, I played only for a brief time, but with a thought "I'm gonna be sucked in deep later".

I regret nothing. I most likely will never play most of the games I bought here, or at Steam, or at GG, or at GMG, or the indie bundles, or .... But hey, the aroma of a backlog is just so sweet.

I'm a little older than 14 years old, but for me it was the other way around. I feel Enclave was actually one of the best purchases I made here. I bought it for cheap in the promo and expected to hate it (I had tried the demo before and it didn't run smoothly and appeared very jerky and not enjoyable at all). Instead, I came to love it. The atmosphere, the soundtrack, the way you can freely experiment with characters and equipment etc. The melee is not that great, but shooting with crossbows and staffs makes the game a lot of fun for me.

There's this other thread going on right now about games we play when we're down, and when I think about it, Enclave might be one of them for me. It's challenging and still kind of casual, with very short levels most of the time, no permanent game overs and no saving/loading required. Granted, I haven't played any others games that are like it, similar to FPS but with a dark fantasy setting, but if anyone knows any games like that that do an even better job and would like to educate me, I'm all ears. :)

I think that is a bug in the original game, emerging if running in too fast CPU. Since the GOG version is running in kind of virtual machine/emulator (DOSBox), slowing DOSBox down fixes that problem.

But I admit Shattered Steel is still a bit... acquired taste. I liked it maybe because I've always been craving for mech games, even a bit mediocre ones. And I love most of the Shattered Steel soundtrack.

Assassin's Creed : Director's Cut
- Game is trying to connect to the Ubisoft server, and because of that the game is having random hiccups

Psychonauts (GOG Version)
- Psychonauts isn't getting any of the newer patches (officially) and that's because of a licensing agreement
- No soundtrack :(

Oddworld : Strangers Wrath (GOG Version)
- Same as Psychonauts, and the HD update isn't coming to GOG

Alan Wake
- No soundtrack

As for me, so far I haven't fully regretted any GOG purchase, but then I haven't yet played most of them. I'm still trying to figure out why people praise e.g. Theme Hospital so much, but that doesn't make me regret getting it, considering the cheap price. A bit same with Rollercoaster Tycoon, which I originally thought I'd love. Maybe the business simulation games really just aren't my genre, even though I like many games which are quite close to them.

Aside from the ones I've bought on sale and essentially have no time to ever play (i.e. virtually all of them!), the only game I've really regretted was Heroes Of Annihilated Empires. Sounded so promising, and the gameplay is alright (but nothing special) from the half hour or so of it that I've been able to stomach - but the writing is just diabolical. As it was supposedly written by a Ukrainian novelist, I can only assume that it was either translated by a complete gimp, or that he really doesn't sell many novels...

Patrician 3. It's not a fault of game (I haven't played it yet) buy support, it has been impossible to run that game on any of my PC with Win7.

And slightly a purchase of The Temple of Elemental Evil. I bought it because games I wanted were cheaper in a bundle with this game. It's a victim of "Buy unwanted games, pay less for these you want" promo.

I'm satisfied with my GOG purchases overall. New games are at least average for reasonable prices and a majority of old games is playable without any issues.

You regret you bought it because you had to in order to utilize a better deal in a promo? Considering the price on older games here that's rather desperate. :P

I haven't it played it myself yet (I bought the D&D promo), but I'm told that the difficulty is brutal. I watched a video where the player's character missed an enemy in the beginning like 5 or 6 times in a row. If I recall right he played on Normal too.

If you ever try it a lot of people recommend Circle of Eight mod.

Got it for free, but I think Redneck Rampage gets very boring a little too often. It just doesn't live up to its Build engine brethren, so to speak.

I've got about seventy games on GOG (including the free ones). I haven't played most of them enough to form a proper opinion, so I expect some more turds to crop up sooner or later. Until then, these two will have to do.

- SpellForce Platinum. There are plenty of flaws that I could probably tolerate individually, but not all together, like those annoying kids at school. The camera, user interface, game mechanics, level design, voice acting, story, pacing and pretty much everything else are more or less off. I gave SpellForce 2 the benefit of doubt though, and it turned out to be way better.

- Indigo Prophecy. The beginning is actually quite interesting, but about halfway through the game a rain of mild silliness begins and gradually escalates into a storm of weapons-grade Whatthefuck. And it goes on forever. And all you do is complete quick-time events. One of the worst games I have ever played on so many levels.
