SYNDICATE!!!
Also X-Wing.

operation: Definitely the original Suikoden for me. There are scenes in that game that were built for 3D, and to see full blown models based on the character portraits would be incredible.

RakeeshSorrel: If they ever updated Suikoden 1 to have the graphics and voicework that were part of 5...my god, that'd be mind blowing. The thought of seeing Gremio's "last scene" with full voice and acting brings chills.
Lord knows if they updated 1, they'd HAVE to update 2 as well.

Having the screen zoom into the protagonist while you can hear the vines eating Gremio would probably make me legitimately cry, so perhaps it's better that the game hasn't been remade.
But I agree about Suikoden II. The fact that there's no way to play the game in English legally without spending a hundred dollars is absurd.
Kings Bounty... Oh wait!

lowyhong: Also, it'd be nice to see Stunts get a remake. Such a beautiful game.

Have you tried Trackmania?

Spritescaper: Myst has already been remade two times. The second remake, realMyst, let you roam freely around a replica of the environments from Myst rendered in full 3D, complete with weather effects.
Quite beautiful, if I say so myself. Tracking down a copy can be rather tricky nowadays, but it's definitely worth checking out if you're a Myst fan.

Yes, nothing's more tricky than tracking down a copy of RealMyst....

Since Shogun 2: Total War has just been announced... I'm going the folks at Creative Assembly need to release a remake of Rome: Total War.
Darklands
Master of Magic (Assuming they don't screw it up, and I only mention this because while the original is great, I'd love native multiplay.)
Chaos
Planescape Torment. The nameless one with tessellation. Ohh yeah.
Maniac Mansion
I'm sure Aliasalpha would agree with me when I say Racing Destruction Set. I'd also like to play a revamped Soul Reaver. And from my simulator days, Gunship and Red Storm Rising.

Words of wisdom.

Give it time. Although I'd imagine that Shogun will feature a different strategic map to both the original and Napoleon. So you won't be seeing a straight up remake.

Laser Squad.
Final Liberation.
Shadow of The Horned Rat.
Syndicate.
Dungeon Keeper.
The Gold Box games.
Daggerfall
Speedball2
Blood Bowl (I'll settle for a total remake of the interface, match & league stuff).
Empire of The Rising Sun
... I think I could go on for quite a while, really.
Crysis.
Well okay, so all these choices are contingent on them not sucking as a remake? Because I could make the argument that some games are so good, so timeless, to remake it would be like offending God. Like Deus Ex.
But if you must, I'd say X-Wing vs TIE Fighter and its related games. Slap on a shiny engine, HD resolution, make it a download game for about 20 bucks and you have a winner.

michaelleung: to remake it would be like offending God.

Bad metaphor. one should mock God at every opportunity. especially if one belives in Him.
anyhow
transport tycoon... kinda happened with OTTD but i want more.
Bloodlines. yeah: on crysis engine. same game (with unofficial patches) just greater graphics and fighting system.
and Nox 2. :)

How recently have you played Deus Ex? - I ask, because I really don't think you can make that argument. It is very much a game where the sum is greater than the parts. And I'm a wee bit sceptical tightening up the shooter bits or bringing the graphics up to date would change it for the worse.
