Hi everybody,

What are some games like Bushido Blade or Severance? I mean games that feel a touch realistic - or maybe not realistic, but deadly - in regard of the weapon fighting. There are lots of games like this for non-weapon combat. Like Virtua Fighter, EA MMA, UFC, Fight Night, but no weapon based games that i can think of.

I am really into "spartacus mode" right now, thats why i am asking. I might even grab "Gladiator Begins" for PSP, looks like you can do a lot there.

Also what i need is a good singelplayer experience. Good story or lots of stuff to collect so that it motivates me to fight.

I hope you guys have some ideas. ^^

Yeah I was actually thinking Gladiator Begins, though I never actually played it.

I want to say there was a console version either in the same series or something similar released for the 360 by NISA or something

eh I guess it was cancelled for the 360, but came out for PS3/PC under the name clan of champions?

As always this community doesnt hold back some the good suggestions. Didnt know about clan of the champions, and i was researching gladiator/arena based games the whole day. :D

Some other good stuff was already said too, so thanks again everybody. :D

There's a gladiator game the reminds me of Severance but I can't remember the damn name and I can't access Mobygames so no finding it either.

What about Rune or Enclave? Perhaps Deathtrap dungeon? The latter I haven't played but it seems to be similar albeit with its own style.

Does Severence have any decent mods? I think I remember reading about a limb-chopping/gore mod or something, might of been another game though

Windows, probably between 1996 to 2004.

You started in some cage and then forced down to an arena and you fought against other gladiators and some animals like a tiger.

I'm wondering whether you will ever learn that something that has been posted cannot be unposted as soon as someone has quoted you. Well, unless there was unquoting but I don't see that happening.

And you're neither blind nor stupid, the game is only called Blade of Darkness in the GOG catalogue. Not knowing alternate titles is hardly stupid.
