Far Cry 2 was heavily inspired by it, to the point of having an area named after it.

Wasn't Far Cry 3 as well? About joining a tribe of natives and spurning the trappings of civilization?

I think a lot of games seem to take inspiration from it though, unlike Spec Ops, most put you more in Kurtz's place instead of Marlow's. Actually, the book isn't widely known where I live, so it was from people mentioning it in regards to games that got me to know it, and later, read it.

Sonic was inspired by the drugs that Dennis Hopper was on when he filmed his scenes for "Apocalypse Now" which was based on Conrad's "Heart of Darkness".

Thank You
I don't know about games, but my gf must have read it...

I recall reading about a game called "Heart of Darkness", maybe it's made after the book?
The book itself is over 100 years old
Maybe Bioshock 4 should focus on the Third World/Primitive lack of government, since they've deconstructed most First World governments by now. Would a Bioshock inspired by Heart of Darkness work?

Im guessing bioshock is more inspired by "Twenty Thousand Leagues under the sea"
Orson Welles did a flat up film version of HOD but I havn't seen it. Last time I read it was college, shortly after it was written. :P

There definitely was a game called "Heart of Darkness", I think it was a side-scrolling platformer.
