MobiusArcher: I doubt its it, but A.G.E. is one that comes to mind. I haven't played it myself, but I have seen some screenies that looked very vibrant.
= [url=http://www.mobygames.com/game/age/screenshots]Advanced Galactic Empire.
Could be also "normal" Galactic Empire but I haven't seen this in action.
Also Stellar 7 has very vibrant colors.

Barnell: I looked at the images to warlords that doesn't apprear to be it
Have you checked all parts of Warlords?
Warlords
Warlords II
Warlords III
There is a bunch of games I can't remember.
Was elite some sort of flightsim? And you are welcome to stone me. Rocks.. I mean. ^^
Most games I don't really remember will propably be in psx.
Sony was great then.. Remember just playing the demo disc hours.

Was that police quest 1 or 2.. which really was taken from miami vice. even the dudes name resemblet crocket. Played those, at some point.. Those swat things, are they really sequels?
another thought regarding TheEnigmaticT's game:

Was it maybe on of the official Elite sequels? Frontier: Elite 2 or Frontier: First Encounters?

No it's not any the warlords game. I feel the warlords games are to big. I only remember a small map with maybe 5 castles.

Sword of Aragon?

TheEnigmaticT: Thanks for the effort, though. I have long suspected it was some random shareware that was very unpopular so no one's ever played it. -_-
I'm not giving up yet :P

In Stellar 7 you don't control space ship though.
Also... don't you ever sleep? ==
Does anyone remember a Diablo-clone that probably actually used the Diablo engine, and in addition to randomly enchanted weapon drops, certain "super rare" swords and armor and bows had names like "Sun Star Generic Asian Name That Insinuates Great Power" accompanied by one or two Korean (I'm pretty sure it was Korean, on account the game was was of Korean origin, I think) characters? I'm not thinking of RO. I don't think it's "Blade and Sword" either.

Yes, but I still have my Stellar 7 and Nova 9 CDs; so it's not those.

Fun games, though. :D

Lamentation Sword? (Note: Halfway kidding) ;-)
Did not use the Diablo Engine, but played much like it. Only without the goodness. And you had up to three characters.

icepowdah: Prince of Qin ?
They need this on GOG, I have not even played it but it looks awesome D:!
No, the setting was Fantasy, not Ancient China. In otherwords, not Yet Another Romance of the Three Kingdoms Game. It was just that some of the weapons and armor of extreme rarity had Chinese characters in the name. Also, while the Player sprite didn't show exactly the weapon or armor the player had equipped (like in Titan Quest), the class specific armor and weapon sprites on the player sprite would "upgrade" as the player leveled up and equipped more powerful items (like how the Barbarian in Diablo II starts off with a leather skirt, and ends up with full plate, but only based on the number of points in Defense, not the type of armor itself; properties of armor and weapons determined the colour).

Indeed they do .. only 41 votes on the wanted list though ... but it was a really fun RPG game .. lots of quests .. items .. pretty good story ... all the ingredients are there
