Weclock: it needs to allow the ability to play XBLA titles on PC.

That would be epic win... but sadly it's Microsoft and their dedication to PC gaming isn't exactly... well they don't seem to have any dedication to PC gaming.

Delixe: It would seem that Microsoft has dropped that idea. When it was originally announced, PC users had to pay for Gold access just like Xbox360 owners. Since then GFWL is now free but the Live Arcade still needs a Gold account to use.

Weclock: You don't need a gold account to buy and play those games, just within the first week of release do you need one

You still need one to buy and activate them. Thats the issue.

At least they seem to have more dedication to Windows gaming than Apple does to Mac gaming - I can't see Apple making a "Games for Mac" brand anytime soon.

As far as I was told you cant activate a live arcade game without a Gold membership. Maybe I am wrong.

Hmm..friend of mine doesnt have a membership and I played Geometry Wars on his Xbox. :)
Hmm, a newer version of software I've been avoiding like the plague and will continue to avoid. Life goes on as usual.
Shall have to update it when I next go to play DoW2, hopefully it'll have a few less connection issues

You were told by someone talking out of their arse. I bought and played half a dozen arcade games on my 360 when I still had a silver membership without an issue. You still need gold for multiplayer stuff and some games let you get access a week earlier but thats usually just demos of full price games
I stand corrected.
