What good games about pirates (NOT software pirates) can you recommend?

Currently I have (retail or digital):
Pirates! Gold
Several trading sims with pirates, for example Herrscher der Meere, Patrician 1-4 and Port Royale 1-3
Tropico 2 (actually the whole series, but only 2 is about pirates)
Risen 2
Pirates Odyssey (russian)
Pirates of Black Cove (without DLC)
Puzzle Pirates (Free to Play but did not really interest me)
and probably quite some more that I forgot to mention.

I plan to get:
Risen 1
Pirates of Black Cove DLC

RadonGOG: Gothic II got Pirates...
Oh, nice. I think I have it from GOG but never played it. :-)
I thought http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sid_Meier%27s_Pirates!_(2004_video_game) was an immense amount of fun. Unfortunately its not on gog and it is also pretty hard to get a Ship of the Line...
Two Worlds II has a pirate expansion.

Whaaat!!!???? No Monkey Island!!!!???? =/
Age of Pirates is the most definitive of the series but the early games provided no over head story or ending so you just sailed around forever pointlessly.

City of Abandoned Ships kicked the franchise up a notch by finally including a story and something to build towards:

GG takes this game down and puts it up again, from time to time, and used to have a copy on their US site (guess they can't make up their minds).

Note the game is quite clunky and poorly polished but it features everything you would want in a Skyrim-Like Pirate game and more!

Also - Warning about Risen 2 - You don't ever sail or even upgrade a ship. Ship travel is automatic / cut scene. Risen 2 is good but it still follows strictly to its Gothic roots.

You can buy that on GG :

Patrician and Port Royal series while not technically pirate games but you can deal with them a lot or even become a pirate yourself. When I was playing Patrician 3 once I decided that I wouldn't buy any more goods but I would acquire them in a slightly less law-abiding way ;) It was fun!

Yeah, the Monkey Island series, definitely. Also Jolly Rover, kind of. And if you're interested in freeware, too, Nelly Cootalot - Spoonbeaks Ahoy!. And the Neverwinter Nights Premium module "Pirates of the Sword Coast", but it's not officially available anymore. (You might still be able to find a free download on some old Bioware pages, from what I heard the DRM on it was deactivated, but the legality of it is dubious - it's effectively "abandonware" in a legal limbo.)

Cutthroats, but I don't think it's available anywhere.
Port Royale 2!!!!

Okay overkill on the exclamation marks, my bad. :(

WAIT SHIT, I forgot. ID War 1 and 2 and don't give me this "Those aren't pirate games." Those are classic pirate games! :D
