It does appear to be DRM protected as the executable is asking for internet access when trying to run it. I guess some do still have DRM even if its not mentioned.

That's why my card didnt go through, moneybookers didnt like it.

Either way, please contact support at gamersgate dot com and let them know (if you haven't already) that you cannot make purchases with any of the current payment options (and the reasons why).
And if you happen to know who provides the payment services for managing CC transactions on GOG/Steam or anywhere else where you are able to make purchases, let them know that too.

There's some really good offers here and I felt tempted to buy some of the gothic games, The Witcher or neverwinter Nights 2. However, it's not like I want to play those games right now (or can), and I'm 100% sure the Witcher will make it to GOG at some point (duh) and I'd rather CDProjekt gets all my money from that buy than fetching it on offer on Gamergate, Same with the Gothics, I'll buy them eventually from GOG, hopefully on sale since neither really impressed me to the "must buy" threshold, but I got them on my wishlist waiting for a sale.
So, I'm thinking Nevwerwinter Nights 2 might be the only one somewhat unlikely to make it here on GOG anytime soon. It's sad that we can't really tell if some games are worth waiting or not.

I confirm this. I exhausted my Civ IV Complete activations (which was pretty high to begin with, like 8 to 10 activations), they gave me a new key as soon as I asked them for one - no question asked.
I like GG because they have some Russian games no one else have.

Their support is also hilarious. I had some problems with payment, and the corresponding emails eventually involved killing rabbits lol.

Purchased Deus Ex 1 and 2 myself. I can finally play them, though I used to own the first and barely played it years ago. Don't ask why. Probably couldn't answer it anyway.
Surprised the first game has high resolution options whereas the second game doesn't though. At least it doesn't seem like the second game is having the screen cut off like normal on games without a specific resolution.
If anyone does buy the first game though, scroll down to the support section for the game and look at the game can't run problem or the CD check problem. You might need to do something like I did to fix it. It's easy and the instructions given are correct though.
Edit: The Gothic games seem good value as well, like mentioned.

I did think about getting them. Either Gothic 2 or Gothic Universe... but I'm really short on cash at the moment and not sure I'd like them. I'm hoping my reviews etc. are approved before the end of the week so that I can buy one of those games with blue coins.
Edit: Problem with these deals, as good as they are, is that they may only be a few pounds tops. But a few pounds here and there soon adds up. It's not too great because there are nearly always games I'd generally like to try and buying them during the sale would save money.

You hit it right on the head. Many times in life the smallest of expenditures add up to some of the largest expenses. Five here, Three there, Two more somewhere else starts to really add up and impact most people's budgets.
Well, that is assuming people have a budget. I commend you for showing self-restraint, wise money management, and putting off instant self-gratification for the larger and more fiscally sound future.
I try to make it a personal rule to not buy instantly any longer. It is always better to wait a day or two and then see if you still "need" the item after all.

Well, that is the way deals work. You're no longer targeting your audience, who bought your game long ago at full price or at the first 10% off offer. You're targeting the people who are on the fence, the ones that heard your game is good but are not overly desperate to get it. A deal here and a deal there make quite the profit and the customer feels like he got a lot, with the minor drawback that it wasn't stuff he was overly interested in getting anyway.
Also, I'm convinced deals fight piracy even better than DRM. Choosing between downloading it for free with risk of getting a virus or paying 3 or 5 bucks, sometimes drm free (if not from GOG) and owning it legally. The expense seems worth it that way.

Looks like Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2 have joined the sale. Regular editions for $14.97, Deluxe editions for $19.97.

These are weekend promotions with Torchlight as well (75% discount for the latter).
