bansama: That's not going to help me, considering that magazine isn't available here.
should i send it to you ?

lackoo1111: should i send it to you ?

Postage might be a bit of a pain. Let me see if I can get a family member in the UK to gift it to me first.

if not let me know i will offer my services to gift it.
I was looking to spend my blue coins on a, wild horse game, and was thinking of either Fort Zombie or Dark Sector. So any views, or recommendations?

Frontlines, Section 8 and UT3 Black sound interesting. How are those for single player? I have no interest in playing them MP, and my country isn't supported by GFWL (which makes Section 8 multiplayer a no-go).

UT3 single player is just the multiplayer maps against bots with some cutscenes thrown in the middle. The only reason to get it is the MP but unfortunately there are few people to play with.

For the record, I loved UT2004, and I never played it online (only offline w/ bots). I assume UT3 also has that option, and UT2004-level bots? Because if that's the case, I'd probably like it.

In that case you will probably like the campaign mode and you can also create local games with only bots, other people, or a combination of both. You can configure the level of the AI for the bots.
IMO UT3 Black is a better game than UT2004, although not many people think the same as me. I specially like the Warfare mode which is like Onslaught but there are optional nodes and you can use a power ball to instantly capture a node.

trusteft: bansama owns gamersgate?
avatar
bansama: No. But I do own a site that tracks sales for GamersGate (as well as others). A site that is really in need of sorting functions. >_>

Amen xD
Stopped using till you get those, sorry xD

Wolfox: Frontlines

Frontlines is a very very good FPS, but, only IF you download and install ALL the patches, which are several gigabytes in size. Not just the patches shown in GG site.
If you do that then you are going to enjoy a very good single player FPS. I bought it twice, once for the Xbox 360 and a year later for the PC. Well worth it.

I might take you up on that offer. Thanks.
As for a choice between Fort Zombie and Dark Sector, I found Fort Zombie to far too buggy and unplayable the last time I played it. But other people have found it to be rather good. I think there's a thread around here covering it in detail, so you might want to search for that.

Wolfox: ...

I found the SP for Section 8 to be a lot of fun and certainly recommend it at GG's current price. Frontlines is great as well, but I was never able to patch my GG version past the second patch, and THQ support were bloody useless eventually deciding that the patch couldn't be installed because of my soundcard!?
So I actually bought it again on Steam as that version is apparently already patched.
