anjohl: FYI: GG's payment system treats credit card useage as CASH ADVANCES, ie, DAILY compounded interest, PLUS a cash advance fee.
avatar
bansama: I've never had that problem using a credit card with them. I've never been charged any fees for cash advances when purchasing with GamersGate or any other DD service for that matter.

It may be Visa's in particular, but it is the case for SURE. Both my very good friend, and myself had it happen. If you have a visa, check again. Call them up and ask if you have any current cash advances.
avatar
anjohl: Sure I do. Steams tends to do right by me, and GOG has yet to offend me. You just project yoru own shortcomigns onto me, and thus use me as your mirror. Seek professional help.
avatar
Delixe: You said they need a whole new payment system. I cant understand that at all. I also said they have the best customer service of any DD service and you should approach them. I take it you would just rather shake your fist? This is your Gamersgate hate thread is it?

I only ever used their customer service once, but it is good. But they could give free blow jobs delivered to your house, and I would not buy something from them using a cash advance.

I've used both MasterCard and Visa for purchasing from GG (had to since our card provided was switched), and have NEVER been charged additional fees in any form.

Call your Visa and check. Unless they changed their service in the last few months, all payments were treated as cash advances. Ask Visa if you have had any cash advances, and then come back and argue with me.

Just to humor you, I asked. There were and are NO such charges.
I would think more users than just anjohl would be pissed if the cash advance bit were true. I wonder what could be going on in this situation...?

Did you really? Or are you just continuing your childish feud/attempts to discredit me?
As I said, it's possible they changed it, but as recent as six months ago, the payment system they had, which was contracted out to some third party which required clicking in an email link, was treating visa payments as cash advances.
FACT. Don't believe me? Contact GG support, since you love them so much. I *only* ever speak in facts, as I really don't like being wrong. Hence, I never am.

Yes. And again, I will state that purchasing from GamersGate with a Visa/MasterCard has never resulted in a cash transfer fee. Perhaps you need to discuss this with your credit card provider instead of assuming that all providers are the same.
It is likely the credit card company. I had one that started to charge for international transactions. This impacted anything I bought through GOG. I simply canceled that card and found one that did not charge such fees.

INCORRECT. Classic sign of inproper debating. I already stated that I have TWO proven instances of the previous existance of said occurence. Your statement that this occurence has never happened is ergo illogical and non-sensical even, unless oen is aware of yoru childish and absurd need to try to "show me up", almost always in vain.

Just an FYI. You could state that you have OVER NINE THOUSAND proven instances of said occurrence but unless you present the mentioned proof it really doesn't make any difference. As of right now it is your word (and your friend's word who might or might now exist) against his. Also, bansama wasn't the only user to mention that he has not received any transfer fee so it would be the word of multiple persons against yours.
And for the record, it has never happened to me either when I purchased games from GG using a credit card.

It's about time you realized this isn't a high school debating class. No one here actually cares about how you expect a debate to go or not, we happen to live in the real world.

Oh you two, always going at it with mindless debates. :|
Anyway. It's a little faster than before but not enough to be that big of a difference. I hate where I live sometimes...
GG is still slow on my computer, ergo all of you were logically WRONG. QED.

I am sorry to burst your ignorant bubble, my young Japanese friend, but the rules of debate are objective, and apply equally, and evenly to all.
Do not address me again. Failure to obey this request will be construed as harassment.

Wow, it seems somebody was beaten up in school a lot (and by somebody I mean anjohl). What kind of normal person ever talks like this in real life? I gotta admit you are a really good troll but your act is getting kinda old.
Ok, we get it you are a fountain of truth and were privileged to be subjects of your unlimited wisdom. You are never wrong even you are are proven wrong it is not your fault but reality's for not being what you want it to be. Keep ignoring posts that prove you are full of BS like a good troll.
