It seems GG has a new server and download speeds are much faster now.
I just bought Space Ranger 2 for $7.49 and am downloading between 1.2 and 1.6 MB/s. Much better now! :o)

I've always had good speeds on gamersgate, in excess of 1.5MB/s

I noticed. I was able to download Trine the other day at 600KB/s, which is about as fast as I usually expect my connection to get. I usually get about a tenth of that from Gamersgate.

Well, seems there's no change here. Speeds still go up and down like a yo-yo. Ranging from 19 kb/s to 100 kb/s. So, still not viable for purchasing large games >_<.

It seems they put a new server on the US, so that explains why people in the US have a better experience now.

thank fucking god. i like their service for newer games, but the files are so big that downloading them sub-100kbps was getting excruciating. it's not even dipping below 250kbps anymore!

I had bought trine the other day and my speed was much faster than normal, it estimated like 15 minutes for 700mb
kind of unusual, it looks like there was a speed up for US customers.

Now they just need a new payment system.
FYI: GG's payment system treats credit card useage as CASH ADVANCES, ie, DAILY compounded interest, PLUS a cash advance fee.

Do you like any Direct Download service? If you have a legitamite complaint about Gamersgate then contact them, they have the best customer service there is with DD services.

Sure I do. Steams tends to do right by me, and GOG has yet to offend me. You just project yoru own shortcomigns onto me, and thus use me as your mirror. Seek professional help.

You said they need a whole new payment system. I cant understand that at all. I also said they have the best customer service of any DD service and you should approach them. I take it you would just rather shake your fist? This is your Gamersgate hate thread is it?

I've never had that problem using a credit card with them. I've never been charged any fees for cash advances when purchasing with GamersGate or any other DD service for that matter.

Yep, same here. I have never had that happen when using a credit card for a GG purchase.
