Dragobr: GamersGate really needs a forum. Otherwise, how are they going to see feedback threads such as this?
you could try telling them on twitter. they are quite active there.

I don't have a twitter. Maybe bansama can relay our concerns?

Ah well then, you can write them at support@gamersgate.com
My main complaint so far is that I have a bloody Elf as my minion, based solely on what game genres I buy most frequently. I mean it makes sense from a logical point of view but, still, a bloody Elf. I feel dirty.

The bonus Blue Coins were nice though.

I did it a long time ago. Maybe Angie is more receptive.

Dragobr: But they would benefit a lot from having a place where all of it's community could gather.
Yeah but we have a whole subforum dedicated to Gamersgate there :P

GG is cool, but with an official forum, it's unlikely the GG staff will be able to monitor it closely all the time. Consider how it may end up becoming another community of bigots like one other distributor's that shall not be mentioned ;)

Come on, it is not so bad here. :-P

Hmm. Looks like no more paying with $ for me . I can only see the prices in € since the update. ( or i got an european IP address again )

By the way : Are the base games and DLCs compatible with other digital download copies ? For example :

- I bought Cities in Motion from Impulse , and all the DLCs from GamersGate.
- I will buy Victoria 2 from Amazon download service and the DLCs from GamersGate .

liquidsnakehpks: wth, gamersgate seems to have almost all the pc games possible :O old and new, are the older games optimized to run on the newer os or they just dump the game files?
They are not optimized at all. Took me a bit of searching on the internet to get Thief and Majesty working and they work great now, but it took at least a half hour to an hour of my own time to get it working. Enjoying these great DRM free games today, wish I could have given that money to GOG though.

On topic, I like the new look of the site better but I mostly just shop there for DRM free games not yet on GOG.
Oh damn, I picked a minion before I knew what they did.
I ended up with the cyber one because it was the one that looked decent to me. Does anyone know what it's for, hopefully it isn't for genres I never touch.
I have some problems with those bluecoins. Tried to buy Medieval 2 with the coins, but Opera just tells me that the server has been disconnected. And the order remained as "pending".

Then tried to complete the payment using IE, and it worked..

I've had this similar problem before, and mailed to their support about it. They even asked a screenshot about the error, since they had never heard of the problem I had.

Kinda weird...
I really miss the right panel with Deals/new ganes/etc. It was most usefull part of site.
I LOVE their new site. It's just so easy on the eyes, and it's organized much better. I think it will bring them a lot of new customers. I preferred the old list of deals though. And i love the idea of minions as well, can't decide between the elf and the hero (because of indie games). They have such a human, friendly and charming approach, and now there's an even bigger difference between them and steam and other companies which have a serious, cold business vibe.
Cons :
You have to manually remove your purchased games from the wishlist.
