IndieFort Fueling Up Bundle is live!

Aeon Command, Gentrieve 2, Space Pirates and Zombies & Waveform (min. $4)

---

http://www.indiegamemag.com/gamersgate-announces-the-indiefort-bundle/

The IndieFort Bundle will be going live this Thursday, April 5th 2012 and if you really wanted to, you could get it for as little as $6. That said, please do try and think of the hard working developers who put their heart and soul into these projects. The reason for guilt tripping you is that anything over the minimum $6 goes straight to the developers themselves, no cuts for anyone else at all.

There are other incentives in the form of tiered unlockables though. That means that there are more goodies up for grabs upon reaching targets like 10k units sold, 20k, 30k and so on – we’re talking soundtracks, art and other surprises that will be announced when the bundle goes live. If enough people buy the bundle to reach 50k units sold in total, then the developers will release their upcoming games for free to those who bought the bundle.

It will have these games,

Cardinal Quest
Black Market
Kenshi
Steel Storm: Burning Retribution
Demise: Ascension
Wanderlust

A smart way to advertise their Indiefort platform :)
Already had (can't download anymore, bah!) Cardinal Quest and Steel Storm (which isn't that good), but damn if the package won't be worth it just for Demise. Definitely grabbing it.

Kenshi and Wanderlust look neat as well. But the main selling point for me is definitely Demise. I've been wanting to get that for a while, but it seems kind of overpriced from the dev's site.
Demise!!! *drool*
This is the first bundle in a while I'm interested in. Wonder if you can pay for it with blue coins....
As far as I can tell, Black Market is free on the developer's website:
http://www.bigblockgames.com/games/blackmarkethd/

I downloaded it a while ago but never got around to installing it, perhaps it's an unlockable demo and they just don't mention the price on the site?

The game is free, however you are locked at lvl18 I believe (lvl99 possible in full game). You can keep playing, but won't be able to get higher or grab the better equipment / ships past that lvl.

Ah! It's weird that they make no obvious mention of that on the site...

So basically $0 goes to developers if u pay $6. They might as well sell it as a normal bundle instead of advertising it like one of the indie bundles.

Kenshi is still alpha?.
Got SSBR

It doesn't say this. Paradox probably takes a cut from the $6 along with the developers. Anything over $6 would not go to Paradox, only the developers.

Well, he's kind of right that in that sense it's no different than just selling a bundle on their site though, like any steam bundle for instance.

But yeah, nice that you're allowed to pay more to see it go to the developers

Yeah but that would be standard practice though wouldn't it? (developers/publishers splitting the profits i mean :))
Oh wait its part of their release on new platform. Geez everyone is getting into flogging indie bundles now

That's actually a pretty fantastic bundle. Most bundle games are sort of arcadey and while fun, a huge RPG or 4 and a space sim is like crack to me.

No no, I think what they're saying is that they take a flat cut of the $6.

So as an example, if you pay $6 maybe $4 goes to the devs and $2 goes to GG.
If you pay $8, $6 goes to the devs and $2 goes to GG.
If you pay $2000, $1998 goes to the devs and $2 goes to GG.

That's my interpretation anyway.

He did say "if u pay $6".

So basically if you pay $6 it's like a normal indie bundle being sold by Steam or GG, Developer/GG take a cut, kind of like a normal sale. Like the $5 for 5 indie games bundles Steam had for instance.

Just, on top of that, you get the option to pay more now, and that money goes to the developers.
