KneeTheCap: I scoured through some games in Steam's library and noticed that the new King's Bounty game is about you being on "the other side", meaning you're the bad guy now. That peaked my interest and I started to wonder, are there other games like that? I don't mean RPG's that allow you to do evil deeds but still save the world, but games where you're the evil one.

I know Evil Genius, Overlord, Dungeons, Dungeon Keeper and uhm... yeah... that's about it.

Edit. I also noticed the hilarious typo in the topic subject. I totally meant Games, but you can suggest Gamers too.

skeletonbow: All of the Grand Theft Auto games, the Hitman franchise, The Godfather games, Mafia series, Kingpin, Postal series, Manhunt series, The Lord of the Rings: The Battle For Middle Earth series (Mordor/Isengard/etc.) to name a few.

Quarantine is another I just thought of, kind of similar to Carmmageddon IIRC
What about the Saint's Row games? If I remember correctly, in Saints Row 2 and Saints Row 3, your character is a gangster.

I've got them wishlisted as they're GTA-ish, but haven't played them but it sounds right to me. Sleeping Dogs might be another one too, I hear it is GTA-like.

In Sleeping Dogs you play as an undercover cop so you play as the "good guy".

The game makes up for it. :)

What would be interesting is if one could play multiplayer between GTA5 and a game like Sleeping Dogs... one side the criminals the other the law. :) Kind of like X-Wing, Tie Fighter, X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter ... :)

There is a game out already that is kind of like what you are talking about.
APB Reloaded

Ah yes, while we were talking about this that game popped into my mind as I saw trailers for it when it was in a bundle months back but I had no idea what the game was called. :)
Just thought of one: Urban Chaos

I'm not sure exactly how it works, but at some stages of the game you somehow unlock levels where you can play as a street thug.
All of the Aliens Vs. Predator games, playing as either the aliens or the predators.
Gangsters: Organized Crime
http://www.gog.com/game/gangsters_organized_crime

I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet. It's a rather complex gangster simulation with countless possibilities to make money, kill your opponents and rule the city. It's a mix of turn-based and real-time strategy. You plan your week and give orders to all of your henchmen, and then let the week play out.

Edit: Judas, if you're still reading this topic, you can remove the compatibility notice on the store page.
"ATI/AMD compatibility notice: Gangsters: Organized Crime requires graphic card drivers version 13.4 or older."
The game used to be incompatible with AMD cards up until half a year or so ago. But ever since updating my drivers a few months ago, the game works fine, even on the newest AMD drivers (Catalyst 14.4).
Edit2: The same goes for Rollercoaster Tycoon 1 & 2, by the way. Like Gangsters, both of those used to have DirectDraw issues on AMD cards, but not anymore.

To be fair, plenty of the humans in that universe are scum as well.
If you do all the quests in Skyrim, your are definitely playing as an evil person. :) The only way to remain good in that game is to turn down a lot of quests. It seems Skyrim was designed to help players get in touch with their dark side.

tinyE: Most of the C&C games.
Those greedy GDI bastards...

I didn't notice any of these mentioned -
Contract J.A.C.K. (you work for H.A.R.M.)
Anomaly Defenders (you are the aliens)
HOARD (you are a dragon that destroys villages and castles)

And I'll add another shout out for PAYDAY!

That's true. You don't see the aliens fucking each other over for a goddamn percentage.
