monkeydelarge: The game just tells us, the main character was a death row prisoner who was recently executed by lethal injection. That doesn't mean he is a bad guy. Then is forced to survive, basically. There was no way he could survive in the game without killing everyone because everyone in the game is hostile towards him.

yyahoo: If a death row prisoner escaped prison after his execution failed and then killed hundreds of people in an attempt to stay alive while on the run, I don't think anyone would label him anything but a "bad guy".

I'm not sure I buy your reasoning, but you're free to believe it yourself...
Yes, now I'm willing to accept the main character is most likely a bad guy because I'm sure most people on death row are bad people. I'm also not interested in a debate about our "justice" system. But anyone who thinks killing hundreds of people to defend yourself makes you the "bad guy" is some kind of mental pacifist type. Because those hundreds of "people" weren't innocent people, obviously. They were gangsters and worse trying to kill him. What would be the right thing to do in his shoes? Let those psychopaths torture you then kill you or just kill you? He had no choice. He couldn't just teleport to some safe location. It was kill or be killed.

I'm O.K. - A Murder Simulator?
Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, if you choose the dark path.
Planescape Torment, Best evil route I've ever seen.
Manhunt 2, You are both the good and bad guy (hooray for multiple personalities)
Postal Series for your must kill everyone nihilists
Democracy 3, setting up a totalitarian police state while still having the population worship you.
Alpha Centauri lets you ruin the whole planet with weapons of mass destruction, torture people and enslave people.

Emob78: Pretty much any open ended world. The freedom to do what you want is nice, but it's sad to see so many gamers take the Machiavellian approach so easily. Sure, it's nice to tip your toes in the darker waters once in a while, but gamers these days have become exceedingly cruel, impatient, and well... kind of evil. The ragequit syndrome you see on videos on youtube is just a symptom. Playing violent games might not make someone violent, but it sure seems gamers enjoy playing on the dark side a bit too often.

I'll refrain from putting on my paragon helmet and declaring a crusade here. Just remember what Yoda said, 'the dark side is easier, more seductive. But once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny. Consume you, it will.'
I have to confess, I can't really be evil in any game (For instance, I can't play Lucius* at all, I would feel physically sick if I tried to), but I am curious if there are games which put you in the shoes of a bad guy.

*I forgot to mention Lucius in the OP, that game is evil. And Finnish.

I believe Arcanum has an alternate ending where you can team up with the bad guy.
Lucius seems to fit to a tee. You play the spawn of satan and are tasked with killing people as offerings. I have not played it, that's what I've read about it.
RapeLay
Technically speaking?

Jerkin the gerkin.
Rampage has you playing as the monster, destroying buildings, eating people, etc.

I had that on NES. I miss it so.

KneeTheCap: I scoured through some games in Steam's library and noticed that the new King's Bounty game is about you being on "the other side", meaning you're the bad guy now. That peaked my interest and I started to wonder, are there other games like that? I don't mean RPG's that allow you to do evil deeds but still save the world, but games where you're the evil one.

I know Evil Genius, Overlord, Dungeons, Dungeon Keeper and uhm... yeah... that's about it.

Edit. I also noticed the hilarious typo in the topic subject. I totally meant Games, but you can suggest Gamers too.
All of the Grand Theft Auto games, the Hitman franchise, The Godfather games, Mafia series, Kingpin, Postal series, Manhunt series, The Lord of the Rings: The Battle For Middle Earth series (Mordor/Isengard/etc.) to name a few.

Quarantine is another I just thought of, kind of similar to Carmmageddon IIRC
