I own Baldur's Gate 1 The Complete Sage from Gog, and when I went to host a game on GameRanger, it says I also own Baldurs Gate 2 Shadows of Amn? What is going on?

I don't know but I'm assuming that GameRanger needs to adjust itself to consider GoG versions of games.

Also, if you, at some point, had a demo of the second one or the second one installed at all, it might've left behind residual files that GameRanger is recognizing.

I also seem to be having an issue with hosting a Multiplayer game through GameRanger for TotSC

Yeah, not sure man - but there seem to be quite a few people here using it - maybe they might have some ideas.
I just heard about GameRanger myself, here, the other day so I'm assuming it's still relatively new and the developers have a lot of bugs to work out.

Landeril: I take it you don't have BG1?
I've actually got the complete collection hard copy (1, 2 & expansions) for about $20 last year and got the complete Icewind Dale Collection hard copy for about $1.75 USD XD

But I haven't bothered with GameRanger yet. I've got so many single player things to get through and then there are tons of free MMOs I wouldn't mind trying.

To be honest, I don't think that I'm going to be installing BG any time soon but if you start a new thread looking for a playing group you're bound to find quite a few people here willing to play.

I think most of the people here on GoG are avid BG fans. =D

They also cater to documenting, discussing and gathering together old PC game fans - actually with the crowd GoG and Underdogs lure in, you might actually be able to find an old school Pen n Paper group still floating around out there.
