Orryyrro: It's kind of like Godwin's Law, except with piracy!

serpantino: You know Hitler was a pirate.....
This is not true. Actually, Hitler wanted to exterminate all pirates.

somberfox: I like Ultima IX: Ascension
I am looking for the Lycaeum in Moonglow right now. I fired the game up last week for the first time since I tried to play it in 1999. It actually runs smooth now, and it's not all that bad. It's not much worst than Pagan, IMO.

Umm you know that was a joke right?.... Godwin's law states that in a prolonged internet arguement, one of the arguers will inevitably make a compare something the other person has said or done to Hitler in a lame attempt to take the moral highground.
I always make fun of Pokémon and other Nintendo games for endless rehashing... yet I really love the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors series, and get excited over the tiniest changes.

I know what Godwin's law is.

Every time I kill someone in a game, I say a prayer for the AI script that will no longer run and then I carve a line into my forearm. I lost my left arm yesterday playing Stronghold.

Damuna: I have never completed a single one of the D&D RPGs available on GOG, despite having owned all of them.
I only just finished BG1 a year ago and Might and Magic 2 a few years ago. I think those are the only RPGs I've ever finished. And I own all of the DnD titles and some of the non-DnD ones. But they're so fun to play!

(edit: I forgot, I finished Might and Magic 8, too!)

A real confession:
I used to stay up all night writing poetry for songs that a bard character of mine would sing in Neverwinter Nights. You can't just click the button for bard's song. You got to really sing about the adventures of your peeps!

Don't tell me you're the german kid from youtube!

I don't shout at games, but i do grumble and say things to the computer when the game is being too harsh. Thing's like "It's impossible. IM-POh-SEE-BL! It can't be done! WHY!? WHY would anyone think this is FUN!?".

I'm usually polite with people but I do cuss at my computer from time to time.

lol definitely not him, and with me its (apart from expletives) things like "give me a break!" or "how could you possibly think thats what i meant you to do!!!"
In games that allow it, I'm a feckin' hoarder and typically a cheapskate. It doesn't seem to matter to me that I'll never use it all or that the game in question doesn't take into account your retirement.

When I look at my gaming collection, clearly I apply the same hoarder mentality to that too. But at least I might at last actually get around to completing some of these games in my retirement...

I think this is pretty common. I try to keep on top of my collection, but sometimes one game will just eclipse others and I just never end up getting back to them. Although I think I'm a little better off because I've played most of my GOG games more than once I've even beaten a couple (Ishar 2 & 3 are the only ones I havn't played, but I'm trying to get through Ishar 1 first).

Regarding one game eclipsing others, I'm having that problem with Minecraft right now. It's not even a game I can hope to complete anyway.

I also have the same problem with wanting to play some games before their sequels, but with me it's the Broken Sword and Gabriel Knight games.
