Have you played KIngdoms of Amalur: Reckoning?

No but thanks for the suggestion.

I've kinda been overlooking it for now because I'm assuming that it's a spec heavy game and my PC is about ten years old.

Have you tried The Last Remnant?

Haven't played it yet but looks like a good game.

If you don't mind Free 2 Play there's Hellgate London, I guess it's Hellgate: Global now. It's a bit buggy but i had fun and it even ran on my old PoS PC that refused to run City of Heroes decently.

Another Free 2 Play game is Vindictus, a really fun source engine game and it had a friendly community when I played, there's also Dungeon Fighter if you like a hybrid of RPG and old school beat 'em up.

For a more conventional game, perhaps Divinity 2, you might have tried it since I've seen you mention Beyond Divinity. It's really good and I really enjoyed the parts when you turned into a dragon.

I saw Harbinger on Gamers Gate, I played the Demo a long time ago and enjoyed it as a sci-fi Diablo clone.
How about Torchlight?? I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet.

I assumed he already played it. Also, he specifically mentioned he wants a big game world, like Sacred, and Torchlight isn't that big.

Ah, ok. Yeah, it's just a town with lots of dungeon levels under it haha.
I am sure 1c has made plenty of diablo clones. Might want to look through their catalogue.
I know a lot of people are having issues with Sacred 2 but if you succeed in getting the latest patch, running comp mode, check admin rights, add a command line "-nocpubinding" and disabling OpenAl drivers it should work. Disabling PhysX might also be a good idea in case you have a low end Nvidia card or an AMD card at all. Downloading a fix to bypass SecuROM might also help with stability and performance issues. =)

It gets bigger with mods, but yeah, definitely not big.

Thanks man...I've book marked this thread. Going to give Sacred 2 another try. I'm just going to have to get past the mouse-dependent control scheme.

I've just gone and checked, they offer one franchise that is Diablo similar called Dawn of Magic.

I've been considering looking into this game for quite some time but have never had a chance to try it yet.

Installed Dawn of Magic 2, uninstalled a day later and never played again... It was painful

Torchlight 1 and 2 are plenty of fun and Titan Quest (with Immortal Throne) was pretty good too

Dungeon Siege 1, 2 and 3 are OK too
I second TITAN QUEST ... but get the IMMORTAL THRONE version (GOLD) as it is the same game with fixes and added stuff.
Features:
10 Additional Character Levels– allows players to bring existing and new characters to new heights, along with higher level equipment and skills
8 New Character Classes– The expansion pack features an entirely new skill mastery, which combines with existing skill masteries to create eight new exciting character classes.
New Exotic Monsters and Locations– Quest through exotic locations in the Mediterranean area and ultimately descend across the river Styx into the heart of Hades. Defeat terrifying new monsters on your way to victory!
Artifacts & Enchanters– A new type of rare equipment that gives the player characters a powerful bonus. Plus, new non-player characters that can create artifacts from recipes.
More Unique Equipment– Uncover hundreds of powerful new unique items and use Caravans to store them as you quest through the Underworld of Hades.

Can't get it here on GOG but Amazon has it on sale a lot.
Right now GOLD (both games .. Titan Quest and the expansion Immortal Throne) is 20 and as IMMORTAL is an expansion it needs the base game to install ...
activates on STEAM and they sell it as well ....

(edited for correction ...)

Yep, Titan Quest, which is actually the only good diablo like game for the last couple of years. There is also Torchlight but the level is completely different - prelude to serious stuff.

It's actually a great game, but it can be darned difficult in parts, but at least you can level up your way out of a bad patch.

I like it because it plays like a JRPG crossed with a strategy game, think like Final fantasy with ALOT of extra characters.
