I suppose going with all new characters in an all new... er, well that is different mansion could work. Or maybe that would be too much like sidestepping the problems posed by following up the first game.

After all, the asylum could be based in an old mansion, kinda like Arkham. It would certainly give the cultists a replenishable supply of sacrifices.

Alpha Centauri was great. Alien Crossfire not so much.
Revival sounds nice, but usually reality kills it. We had less gamers 15 years ago, and making difficult games could make a revenue, today, it's either big bucks or bust. Take Jagged Alliance 2 Reloaded for example.
I'd love to see some old games remade, sure, but i bet they'd suck, with all the magic gone.

The UW/SS games could use a little engine tweak, i don't mind low res VGA, i actually like it. Redefinable controls, fixed round effect when looking up down, and it'll be awesome.
Or perhaps a remake that models itself as a retro game, kinda like The King, The Queen and the Jester.

Crusader? Crusader: No Remake. It's too easy to botch, when handled by modern EA. ;P

That and since asylums are full of people who already have a loose grip on reality with demons being generated by their minds and following them around and such like, the addition of Adam who is probably the focus of a lot of supernatural activity and interest could act like a trigger to the tinderbox environment that is the asylum, causing it to erupt with supernatural power even without a deliberate force acting behind it. If we presume there are still secret factions at work in the game world as well, perhaps ones who were trying to manipulate the events in the first game for their own benefit perhaps, then it gives the possibility of the game leading onto more adventures after he gets out the asylum too.

As to using new characters instead, it would be sidestepping the issue though if done right I could see it working, perhaps with Adam disappearing and the new character having to track him down to find out what happened and where he's gone. Or maybe a prequel, set in like the 1920s or something where some of the events from the first game are set up and explained. Though prequels do tend to suck to be honest. ;)
Entire Turn based games genre!

Fanmade, got cancelled due to cease or desist from EA, figures. I didn't really like the idea of a PSP only port, don't know if that handheld has enough buttons for Crusader anyway.
They were on the right track though, and even got a remix of the theme from Andrew Sega!

Not really, not often, and not regularly. Just every now and then [once per 2 months?] i pop in to check out if something actually happened. I actually learned about the PSP project when it was already dead.;P

I like that. It has 13 Monkeys overtones to it. But with the time travel replaced by demonology. That certainly could work.

A prequel would be difficult. It could be very good. Kind of like Undying, maybe. But you'd also need to find a way of providing a satisfactory conclusion.
