Alright, so I buy a lot of my games used, and (when it comes to physical copies) pretty much exclusively on consoles. One thing that always bugs me, though, is the... lack of symmetry, when you purchase a used game without the original case. It always bugs me to look up at my game shelf, and be able to see without a hint of difficulty exactly which games those are as well.

As such, I have started a project to replace my missing game amrays with scans found online. I found one pretty good site (hirescovers or something like that) that provided me with most of the cases I was looking for, but I'm still looking for a few. Specifically:

--Malice for PS2
--Mass Effect for Xbox 360 (the version with the extra content disc)
--Sonic Ultimate Genesis Collection for Xbox 360
--The Darkness for Xbox 360

...Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's all of them for the moment. So, if any of you happen to have these games and wanna scan the amray so I can print it out and use it, or just happen to know of locations where I can find them (the higher res the better, I do want them to look at least half decent after all) then your help would be ever so much appreciated. I would prefer them in English, but PAL/NTSC/Etc. isn't so important -- a few of the games I've printed I actually chose non-American covers simply because I liked them better.

After that comes de-stickering the cases, but THAT is another beast entirely...
As a side comment, you might think about just buying a pack of whatever cases you need, rather than de-stickering. But I guess in some twisted way I kind of enjoy the de-stickering, as a symbol of the transfer of ownership.

It leaves the game with a bit more character I think, though I have been thinking of simply raiding my DVD cases, since my games are prominently displayed while movies hang about a little out of the way. The problem there lies in that with the 360 games especially, I like to have the right COLOR of case if possible as well, and the lime-green they use ain't very popular outside their own cases, so I'd be hard pressed to replace 'em. That's also why I haven't replaced the case to my copy of Tomb Raider: Legends -- a silver case is just damn hard to find.
It's kind of funny because I'm in the process of going the opposite way. Taking my games and DVDs out of their original packaging and just keeping the discs in more compact cases with images of the discs on my HDD.

Wanna part with your amrays? If you've got any of the originals I'd gladly take 'em.

A few of the games I've already replaced:

--Lost Planet Extreme Condition 360 (used Australian case 'cause it was nicer looking)
--Prey 360
--Armored Core 4 360
--XIII PS2
--XMen Legends PS2
--Kameo 360
--Dragon Age Origins 360

I wouldn't necessarily mind, but the only one I've got at the moment for games is Fallout 3, I've got quite a few cases for DVDs though, which are somewhat similar.

Unfortunately because I've largely been boycotting recent releases I don't have many available, most of them are from the older jewel cases which you can just rip apart any audio CD to get.

Aw, well. I've got plenty of jewel cases.

Too bad!

To be honest, I'd love to stick with the amrays, but I just haven't the space. Getting those mini-jewel cases I can cram 4 discs into the space of just one of the old school jewel cases which greatly increases my storage space.

Also some of those cases piss me off by making it excessively hard to remove the discs.

While close -- and a great resource site, thanks for the link -- not quite what I'm looking for since I'm just wanting scans of the case artwork to print out and replace the inserts already in the cases. I'm willing to spend an hour and a half looking for the artwork online, but it's not such a huge issue I'm going to pay for it when at the moment I can't even buy groceries.

I will have to hit there some time in the future for instruction manuals/cases/etc. though.

PERFECT! Thank you so much! And now if I want covers for other games that don't have them I can get those too! Awesomesauce!
I actually thought you were talking about this site earlier in the thread. :)
Forgive my ignorance, but what the bollocks is an amray?

The paper inserts for DVD cases, or the case itself, depending on who you talk to. In this particular instance, the insert. They are mighteh useful.

And Foxhack: The site I was talking about at first is called like freegamecovers.com or something like that, and NONE of them are as nice as the ones on the site you linked. Plus, it's a hell of a lot harder to navigate, so I know where my source will be when I buy a game without the original case from now on.
