gameon: I can deal with that kind of thing in games/tv shows etc. But in real life i dont like it. Strange isn't it.
-------------------------------------
In regards to the dlc, it's supposed to be better than the main game. I dont buy directly from steam, so if i wanted it, i'd have to trade something elsewhere for it.
Life is full of strange things.....it's part of what keeps life interesting, imo.

Just curious....why do you play games on/from Steam if you don't buy from Steam?

Idea: If you use paypal you could paypal me the money(if you wanted it, that is) and I could buy it and trade it to you via Steam.

Because games are so cheap and easy to get. Most of them i got for free in giveaways. Or as part of bundles.

I hate paypal because they refused a refund i should have recieved. Amazon have always been on my side, and now with amazon payments, hopefully they will be a good alternative.

But you said you won't(or can't?) buy from Steam.....why is that?

No access to a usable payment method, etc?

Cool......thanks for filling me in. :)

GameRager: So you'll play DNF in about a week then? :p
Played a bit of DNF today. I have a good opinion of it so far surprisingly. I found it funny, and apart from a stupid space key button issue (at the first boss it turns out i had to hold down both E, left mouse button AND tap the space bar, in order to break off the boss tube thing on his back)

The graphics look good, the sound is fine. Theres a retro feel to it. Who knows, i might be a fan of it :)

You can change the controls in the menus.

Also did you find the "toilet surprise"? ;)

(And did you have fun with the whiteboard?)

Yeah, i beat the boss using my technique.

The toilet thing make me laugh out loud, especially as you could keep it and Duke just says whyy!?

Also when you punch that "douche" guy in the face :D

And the whiteboard/kids autograph book. Classic!

And this is all at the start of the game.

Acheivements i've had during the first couple of levels:

Turd Burglar, Drawrings, Nobody Likes a Whiner, One-Eyed Freak

So i haven't got that one yet.

By the way, at the start, what did you put on the drawing board?

I totally drew an 8-bit version of the Mona Lisa...well, I tried. It ended up looking like some 5 yr old did it in the end.

And too bad you didn't get black monday.......such a fun little achievement, imo.

(It can only be gotten in the stadium level, iirc.)

(Tips: If you get Duke's golden gun and keep it until the end of the game you'll get an achievement.....also to make carrying weapons easier enable 4 weapon option in options, otherwise you can only carry 2 weapons through the game.)

Sure, i'm not too bothered about achievements though.

By the way, i've seen the dlc: Hail to the Icons Parody Pack

What is that?

It's a bunch of multiplayer modes and maps. They parody (in)famous modern game series.

I see. I forgot that these games have multiplayer. I might try it out once i've completed the game. Although that clone dlc seems more appealing to me, as its more single player stuff, i think.

Yeah that DLC is SP.......and pretty good, from what i've heard. Supposedly it picks up from the end of the current game.
