GameRager: ]If you don't know music it is hard. Plus aren't most musical keys form like a-f(or G-ish)? How would one fit a game code into such a limited letter range? I guess you could luck out and get a code that uses only those letters but c'mon.

Lexor: To tell the truth you haven't needed any music knowledge to solve this last puzzle. :)
Maybe he numbers the keys as first key a second key b and so on....hmmmm.......

I can't use it anyways as I have LBA, so I won't bother writing it out to see if i';m right. I will say nice idea though, if a bit misleading as first. :)

You can check your idea even if you have game / the game was redeemed. You will just get another note in place of "invalid code".

spindown: People posting these code breaking challenges always underestimate how difficult it can be to solve them. (...) What seems obvious to you is not obvious at all to others, and the possibilities are endless.
Indeed, which is why I try to apply some base logic to the puzzles I provide.
If one's aware that gift codes on GOG consist of [A-Z][0-9], you can basically start trying to project (and I never really randomize my mapping but go straight A to Z for the very reason of solving without much brute force).
I confess though that my wicked mind might betray me at times.

Lexor: full three octaves
I would have preferred this, but couldn't find an application that provided me with the possibility for free ;)
I thought that this set-up would be okay though as it was displayed visual and the amount of possible semitones was somewhat highlighted.

GameRager: If you don't know music it is hard.
That's the great part about this riddle. You don't have to know anything about music to solve it. The tricky part might actually have been getting away from the idea of music and it's relevance!
Well too many keypresses to be individual letters/numbers mapped to keys for each key press. Gah.

GameRager: letters/numbers mapped to keys for each key press
How many semitones (black keys) are available on that specific keyboard and how many numbers and letters are there?

Now this mofo has me getting out a calculator......he be tripping. 0.o

;)
Whoa, the "Gah!" thread is back!

I just couldn't let it go down with a code to solve - it still is there. :D

You solved the music one, right?
I'm surprised no one has redeemed the one from post 118, too.

Yes, and I am surprised also.

Fujek: The applied mathematical principle should be manageable. Thinking easy and basic on this one is the key! ;)
Add musically challenged to the list as well!
Heh, there seems to be cleverly hidden code for Pat 3 I just happened stumble upon in a certain thread. Open your eyes, people!

First free hint for you: It's not this thread (and it's not my code, just happened to find it)

Still unredeemed? Wow...
